@Deathhead sure thing.
Deathhead 30 Dec, 2024 @ 7:34am
Would it be alright if I add your mod to a modpack for a server I'm making?
Peccadillo  [author] 28 Dec, 2024 @ 2:17am
@Kal Well let's see when b42 MP will launch. I think for b41 it took them over two years to include MP in the beta.
Kal 27 Dec, 2024 @ 4:13pm
Hoping to see this mod return for b42

what if we like to turn the generator off when we don't need it? radio stop working too?
ZeeroCool 1 Mar, 2024 @ 9:10pm
@Peccadillo thanks for your reply! Cheers

@ZeeroCoolTV sadly I don't know of a fix for this issue, as it was introduced in vanilla update 41.78.12. by the devs. I guess we'll have to wait for the new update. I haven't been bothered by it too much as the servers I played on always used text for ingame communication.
ZeeroCool 11 Jan, 2024 @ 11:26am
Hi @Peccadillo, congratulations on the mod! It works really well. Thanks! Is there any chance of creating a fix for the unmute VOIP at long distances? It's a known bug in build 41. Every time a player logs out or logs in far away from another player, they cannot communicate through the radio. Once they get close, within less than 109 tiles, VOIP unmutes, and the radio starts working again. If they log in together within 109 tiles and start to walk away from each other, the radio keeps working just fine. This bug is destroying our RP server. Anyway, thank you for this mod; it has already helped a lot!

TIS broke VOIP at a distance without either being an admin or meeting up first in 41.78.12.
bioinformer 5 Sep, 2023 @ 6:32pm
OK - so for some reason our VOIP works when an admin is using the radios (admin to players), but players can't talk to each other. Any idea why that is happening? We played around with the DisableRadio[Staff/GM/Admin/etc.) settings but it didn't change anything. Please help! :)

@Peccadillo in the earlier stages of the game there are transmissions on the regular radio about air traffic, as such you can get a 1 days notice before the helicopter arrives.

As such it is very very annoying having to go check on your radio all the time to change batteries, if you were able to connect it to the wall you could just leave it on if you have electricity.
Peccadillo  [author] 7 Apr, 2023 @ 3:35am
@Kafkatrap currently there is no plan to include normal radios for this. if you don't mind me asking, what are you using them for?
Kafkatrap 1 Apr, 2023 @ 6:07am
Does this allow you to connect regular radios to the power grid too?
I know some of the other, way older, mods had this function. I'd rather go with a mod that has an active dev tho.
Satuis Aburda 14 Jan, 2023 @ 12:06pm
The Lite version, yes sir.
Peccadillo  [author] 14 Jan, 2023 @ 11:51am
@zoroththeawesome it does work with the LITE version of that mod (KeepThatRadioOnLite) which was created by @Satuis Aburda specifically to work with my mod.
zoroththeawesome 1 Nov, 2022 @ 4:42pm
Does this work with "keep that radio on" mod?
Survivator 14 Oct, 2022 @ 1:22am
Thank you for awesome mod! Works good and very usefull! :cozybethesda:
kirito solo 13 Oct, 2022 @ 5:45pm
stills working fine in mp 41.77 ??
Satuis Aburda 11 Jul, 2022 @ 10:26am
What I recommend is actually to balance the walkie talkies further regarding this, say, for every 0.5 of weight you add an extra 2000 range, or you reduce battery consumption in exchange for weight.
Peccadillo  [author] 10 Jul, 2022 @ 3:53pm
@Satuis Aburda thanks for your report. Yes it is a known issue which I haven't been able to fix yet. It also reverts the Display Name of the changed item. If you find a way to prevent this from happening please let me know. Haven't had much time to investigate this further.
Satuis Aburda 7 Jul, 2022 @ 6:33pm
I wanted to report a glitch with the walkie talkies, because the way you balanced them was they can be essentially turned into tactical walkie talkies which is great and works.

but when they're put down on the ground and picked up again they keep the benefits but their weight reverts to whatever the base walkie talkie was. So there's a meta where it's only worthwhile boosting a toys-R-mine talkie because they weigh so very little.
Peccadillo  [author] 7 Jul, 2022 @ 5:29am
Hey @sisseck.net check out RadioToGrid mod for that!
sisseck.net 7 Jul, 2022 @ 5:22am
Thanks for the mod :D Any chance of adding the normal radios as well?
Peccadillo  [author] 25 Jun, 2022 @ 3:32am
@Doctor Decay No worries, you can use it in your mod pack if you want! :)
Nomad 1-1 15 Jun, 2022 @ 1:23pm
Hello, I am the owner of one of the larger communities and I would like to see if I could request to put your mod into a mod pack. I inform all my members of the full credits of your mod via a dedicated discord channel and a PDF made for the server that goes into mod description, controls, and full author credits. I will share any details you need, or answer any questions. Thanks again, and great work!!
E_Tgirl 23 Mar, 2022 @ 1:09pm
Yeah, range must be really crap. really hoping some one makes a mod to buff that as right now its completely useless. there is a radio station on the server and there was people like 2 blocks away that tested it and couldnt hear anything.
Peccadillo  [author] 22 Mar, 2022 @ 2:21pm
@MoVisMP it should not affect the air activity message and i know that i have seen it before.
Peccadillo  [author] 22 Mar, 2022 @ 2:21pm
@E_Tgirl don't know about the range as i haven't tested it yet but yes they can receive radio chatter when on the same frequency.
MoBisMP 21 Mar, 2022 @ 10:54am
Thank you for this mod. Not having to worry about batteries on HAM is great.

I have a question though.

I am having problem where I am no longer getting "Air Activity Detected" message for Emergency broadcast. One from Vanilla and other one from expanded helicopter events. Both of them are not shown. Almost got killed by a random helicopter.

Was wondering if the mod can affect this changes.
E_Tgirl 10 Mar, 2022 @ 7:28pm
do you happen to know what the range for car radios are and if they can hear walkie talkies and ham radios?
Kafkatrap 18 Feb, 2022 @ 9:22am
@Peccadillo I think so, I've restarted my server. I'll report back if i don't manage to connect it this time.
Peccadillo  [author] 18 Feb, 2022 @ 2:52am
@Kafkatrap yes it works with the current build. Do you have the required skill?
Kafkatrap 17 Feb, 2022 @ 4:37pm
Does this work with current build? I can't connect the radio to the powergrid, no such option appears when right clicking the Civilian HAM radio or the Military Radio.

I have all the required items in my inventory.
Peccadillo  [author] 29 Jan, 2022 @ 8:31am
@Fronki in patch 41.65 you need the "Build 41 Multiplayer Radio Chat Patch" for chat messages to work via the two way radios. My mod simply adds features to the ingame radios as described above. Best way is to subsribe to both mods until they fix the radio chat bug in 41.66
Fronki 29 Jan, 2022 @ 5:17am
This mod allows you to communicate with other players in multiplayer via walkie-talkie? Does this work with all radios or just certain ones?
Aristine 23 Jan, 2022 @ 11:56am
Oh, I didn't know that's how the game differs them. I just knew that other radios have the slot for them, even when placed in the world, and that you can technically use equipped HAMs if you wanted to.

Ideally I was thinking of being able to use the earbuds/headphones while the HAM is placed in the world, but yeah, it's not really a very needed thing, especially once your base is decently cleared out/protected.
Peccadillo  [author] 23 Jan, 2022 @ 8:22am
@Aristine that is possible yes, you'd only have to change the value for "IsPortable=" to "TRUE". I don't really see why you would want to do this though as it would only work if you'd equip the ham radio and that thing weighs 20kg.. you would be better off using a walkie talkie for that.
Aristine 22 Jan, 2022 @ 11:51pm
Do you think it'd be possible to add the earbuds/headphones slot to HAM radios?
Joey4Track 14 Jan, 2022 @ 8:03am
Oh thanks, sorry i must have missed that
Peccadillo  [author] 13 Jan, 2022 @ 4:23pm
@Joey4Track Yes it does. I specified it in the description.
Joey4Track 13 Jan, 2022 @ 3:39pm
Does this work with the military radio as well?
Painless Jack 13 Jan, 2022 @ 11:05am
Love it, great little QOL mod
