@SONTOR, hope you're alright. Really like your mod and it's good to know I'm not the only one who misses the bloodline mechanics from CK II. @TheGib770 is a good modder who I believe wants to include your mod in his Unified UI project which makes sure a lot (and I mean a lot) of mods are UI compatible. A collab with him would be wise in my opinion and it seems he offered it himself too... Of course that is if you are feeling like modding again. Cheers.
OP Cheater 1 Nov, 2022 @ 5:13pm
Is this fixed not to appear the setting in the game rules?
TheGib770 30 Oct, 2022 @ 3:38pm
Hello, if you can create an on_action following the guide below, I should be able to allow compatibility through UniUI

SirMars 22 Sep, 2022 @ 10:51pm
I've got the same issue as razzrock11 and Konstantin Wang. No bloodlines rule set or decision ect
DooDooSucker_11 22 Sep, 2022 @ 11:17am
The game rules don't appear
Konstantin Wang 19 Sep, 2022 @ 1:34pm
The mod settings don't appear in the Game Rules, I can't find the decision to forge my own Bloodline. In Chinese version is Bloodline in the trait bar and the BloodlinesList is empty.
SONTOR  [author] 19 Sep, 2022 @ 2:37am
It was updated for 1.7
SirMars 18 Sep, 2022 @ 6:04pm
Is this working with the current updated UI?
牛奶大魔王 10 Sep, 2022 @ 8:05pm

SONTOR  [author] 7 Sep, 2022 @ 6:35am

the update isn't compatible with 'character UI overhaul' either, tried loading bloodlines last in my load order and still wasn't able to see the new bloodline GUI. my vote would also be to return to the traits bar as it's easier to see bloodlines at a glance especially when considering marriages since inheritable traits are shown in the proposal window vs having to click through to the character window and bloodlines GUI. the traits are also less likely to see conflicts since it's making a smaller change. just my 2c, love the mod overall!
Kenn The Cooker 31 Aug, 2022 @ 4:29am
Unfortunately it is not compatible with RUI:Character mod. Would prefer it displayed on the trait bar since it is much easier visually but that is just my opinion.
Tannenzäpfle 31 Aug, 2022 @ 3:50am
Ah okay, is there a way to have it the old way? because the new system is not compatible with many other gui mods
SONTOR  [author] 31 Aug, 2022 @ 3:42am
If you look at the last few screenshots, you see that it no longer takes up traits in the trait bar, instead you can click a button to bring up the Bloodline GUI
Tannenzäpfle 31 Aug, 2022 @ 1:42am
what is meant with "custom gui"? You can create your own bloodline?
SONTOR  [author] 30 Aug, 2022 @ 10:58pm
This mod has been updated with a custom GUI, so have fun with that.
NemoA90 9 Apr, 2022 @ 8:50am
it seems to be working for me now
SONTOR  [author] 8 Apr, 2022 @ 8:17pm
Oh god dammit, ok when I am free again today, and tomorrow I'll just go through the error log and fix everything. People on the Discord have discovered that deleting the decision itself might help, so try that. Sorry again, just please have some patience and it should be fixed.
firespark84 8 Apr, 2022 @ 11:56am
is this compatible with governments plus? im having the same issue people are describing with the game not loading but I thought it was a mod compatibility issue
SONTOR  [author] 8 Apr, 2022 @ 6:35am
Alright, band-aid update. It should be fixed but I can't guarantee anything. Some other issues might've also appeared, but I am in the process of fixing up some behind the scenes issues in the mods code, so I only ask your patience until the full fix is out.
SONTOR  [author] 8 Apr, 2022 @ 2:53am
Ya, I hear y'all, it's been working for me, so I'm just working through the error log RN, please be patient with me lol.
NemoA90 7 Apr, 2022 @ 2:25pm
yeah, i have the same problem. game wont start with this mod enabled
Renown 6 Apr, 2022 @ 11:37pm
seconding crass's comment. Ya broke the mod somehow.
TheCrassDragon 6 Apr, 2022 @ 12:31pm
Well, the game won't actually start now, it just hangs initializing forever. Tested with this as the only mod.
SONTOR  [author] 5 Apr, 2022 @ 10:47pm
And we are live, have fun everyone!
SONTOR  [author] 5 Apr, 2022 @ 9:04pm
Ok, so I get that people have been upset with how this bloodline mod works. But this mostly stemmed from how I assigned bloodlines to characters. With the old system, that you all are playing with, it is assigned with history files, as such it took time to give each individual character their correct bloodline.

However I have now created as proper decision which assigns Bloodlines accurately for me. To this extent I have also been able to expand how bloodlines can be inherited, being up for the players to decide whether it should be Both, Patrilineal or Matrilineal. Just wait for the update to go live soon, and most of your issues with this mod will be fixed.

Thank you for your patience.

Suggestion, how about a game rule that makes the "parent_inheritance_sex" both male and female?
SONTOR  [author] 18 Feb, 2022 @ 5:42pm
It uses the same code as Sayyid, so it shouldn't be dying out in the way you described, if would would be able to provide more data and join the Discord I should be able to help you out.
Angelmar 18 Feb, 2022 @ 3:26pm
Why do traits "die out" for grandchildren/great grandchildren even if their respective parents (all male line descendants) have the "son of" trait. If it matters, im looking at Ragnar's line.

I dont recall other bloodline traits in CK3 (Sayyid/Saoshyant) randomly dieing out/not descending.
SONTOR  [author] 18 Feb, 2022 @ 4:32am
It means that if specific Titles exist, and are not owned by someone with that Bloodline, everyone with that Bloodline are able to Claim the Title for half the cost of Title Creation.
firespark84 17 Feb, 2022 @ 11:06pm
what does rightful ruler of x mean? on the trait for both blood of Charlemagne (different from Carolingian blood) and blood of Bargat it says "rightful ruler of the franks" and "rightful ruler of the caucuses" respectively. does this give claims or something or just flavour text?
SONTOR  [author] 14 Feb, 2022 @ 6:11pm
Dozens of new Bloodlines have also been added, and some others have been changed :)
SONTOR  [author] 14 Feb, 2022 @ 6:11pm
Yup!
Coach 14 Feb, 2022 @ 6:09pm
Thanks for the update, is the current version playable and useable ?
SONTOR  [author] 10 Feb, 2022 @ 9:36am
As of now there is the 'Claim your Legacy' interaction which will give a character all relevant bloodlines for up to 4 generations up. It is currently broken and is free, though the AI doesn't make use of it yet. For when I roll out the next up date, I have made it so that the decision costs a varying amount of Piety or Prestige depending on a characters factors, which will also mean that the AI will start making use of the decision. I also plan to make it so that if you are a dynasty head you are able to force relevant characters to gaining their bloodline traits, for a sum of renown which is yet to be determined.
SONTOR  [author] 10 Feb, 2022 @ 9:36am
Yes, the way the code currently works is that it inherits the same way Sayyid does for Muslims, only either Patrilineal or Matrilineal. This is for two main reasons.

The first is that unlike CK2 where I can just say that 'x' character has trait and all the relative descendants get the Bloodline, I have to manually go and give all relevant characters their trait individually, taking up a lot of time already, so if I were to make it inherited by both, then there would be an exponential increase to the amount of characters I have to go through, which I simply don't have the time to do.

Secondly, I don't want the world to be filled up with Bloodlines, where a few generations into the game the AI would have already interbred nearly all their bloodlines together, which provides for less of a challenge, and would cause all characters you go through to have their traits list be filled up with these Bloodlines.
Airbender 10 Feb, 2022 @ 9:23am
Hey Tor, I'm wondering why bloodline traits aren't inherited through marrying someone matrilineally? That was one of my favorite ways to bring bloodlines into my dynasty in CK2. Seems almost no bloodlines are inherited at birth even if married matrilineally.
SONTOR  [author] 10 Feb, 2022 @ 8:55am
Yep, this mod is still in the process of being updated for RC so appologies for that. This mod is just the most energy intensive of my mods to update, so you have to be patient for just a bit longer
