@Painpills: Tends to happen with Crimea, yes. I consider it not a bug, but a feature. /s

Catherine keeps democraticaly invading me, unsubbed.
Kiang  [author] 13 Aug, 2017 @ 9:41pm
@PappuFrosty: It requires G&K and BNW, if I recall correctly.
SmugFrost 8 Aug, 2017 @ 10:06pm
does this mod require dlc?
Kiang  [author] 1 Aug, 2017 @ 7:32am
@cooltermination: I'm honestly not sure. If you have them in the Civ5/Mods folder, they should appear in the civ list as long as you're not in a scenario. Could be a mod incompatibility, but that's unlikely unless you're running a total conversion or something as well.
The Meat Inspector 31 Jul, 2017 @ 6:38pm
I downloaded the mods but they dont appear as civs. do you know how to fix that?

What I cant wait for would definately be Nohr, Hoshido, and Valla civs, but that tech tree thing sounds awesome too.
Kiang  [author] 16 Jan, 2016 @ 3:22am
@Ike24: What a great idea! That's certainly the way the tech tree would work in a Fire Emblem toal conversion mod. A full TC is something I've been wanting to do for a while, but it's a lot of work; definitely something to think about for the furutre, though! Thanks for your comment.
Ike24 16 Jan, 2016 @ 2:58am
I know this might be alot to ask for but do you think when playing one of the Fire Emblem Civilizations mods, instead of going into future can we go into Magic or something it would be sooo awesome and if you need anything i love to help but i don't know to much about modding but yea it would be cool if you replace the siege units with mages or something like that and just have the monks as the texture for them or something idk
erick 10 May, 2015 @ 9:16pm
So if I download this and have the Putin's Russia mod will he automatically invade?:cinnamon:

Dr. Strangelove:

I wouldn't go that far. It may be inferior to DLC-ified Civ, but it provides more fun than Homeworld 2.
Kiang  [author] 27 Jul, 2014 @ 7:23pm
@paulajedi: Try direct downloading it and unzipping it into your MODS folder.
paulajedi 27 Jul, 2014 @ 1:38pm
I have BNW and this won't show up in my mods list.
Merkwürdigliebe 24 Jul, 2014 @ 3:28pm
@piratecookie unmodded civ5 is bad enough vanilla civ5 is just god a awful unplayable wretch of a game
Kiang  [author] 23 Jul, 2014 @ 12:10am
@A Man For Flowers: Thanks! =)

I have definitely thought about it, and have even tried my hand at map-making a few times, but alas, I am less than stellar at it. Thus, my good friend - Zukonima -, who is far better at Civ V cartography, agreed to do a Tellius map once he finishes his runthough of Radiant Dawn. Hopefully, it should be done around the same time as my proposed Laguz civs - that way, we can get a whole Tellius scenario going!
Cool Sandals 22 Jul, 2014 @ 12:57pm
Hey, I love your Fire Emblem mods! Ever considered making a Tellius map?
Kiang  [author] 21 Jul, 2014 @ 7:57pm
@piratecookie: I recommend them completely. Besides the obvious new features that the DLC advertises and most of the mods on the Workshop requiring either one or the other, they also come with some pretty basic interface and gameplay fixes that are actually one of the main reasons that I can't go back to Vanilla. Just off the top of my head, I think in Vanilla you take a serious diplo hit for refusing to give a DoF'd civ something crazy, like 1,000 gold or a free resource. It also fixes the "10 Archers vs. Giant Death Robot" problem by bringing the HP totals up to 100.
Spelunkerdoom 21 Jul, 2014 @ 7:09pm
Excellent. I love this game so much obviously I think I'll look into getting these DLCs.
Kiang  [author] 21 Jul, 2014 @ 7:02pm
@piratecookie: My apologies. I may be releasing a civpack soon that's compatible with G&K, if you have that.
Spelunkerdoom 21 Jul, 2014 @ 6:39pm
Oh. Well that makes sense then. I was trying to find other differences in how the folders were being read. Anyway, I guess that's that. Thanks for hearing me out.
Kiang  [author] 21 Jul, 2014 @ 9:52am
@piratecookie: Actually, that would do it, yes - I'm afraid that this mod is BNW-compatible only. So sorry about that! =(
Spelunkerdoom 21 Jul, 2014 @ 9:39am
Ok. So, if my game is vanilla, it won't run this Crimea mod?

Do I need BNW?
PaperMarioFan 21 Jul, 2014 @ 6:26am
Ah, I looked into it myself to make sure my mod wasn't conflicting, and I found that this one (presumably the others too) just isn't compatible with versions of civ that aren't BNW, not showing up in vanilla and the trait being buggy in G&K. I'll go post about it on the thread!

That said, I don't think it should be a problem to make it work for all versions, since it doesn't rely on anything new. I think. Sometimes unit promotions are tricky.
PaperMarioFan 21 Jul, 2014 @ 6:12am
I understand! Thanks a lot for considering it and looking into it, I appreciate that. G'luck with the trait!
Spelunkerdoom 20 Jul, 2014 @ 10:03pm
thanks
Kiang  [author] 20 Jul, 2014 @ 9:44pm
@piratecookie: I currently have no idea why this is. I'll look into it, but I;m also releasing a new path very soon that might solve your problem. Thanks for the report; if/when I find a solution, I'll comment it back here. So sorry about that!
Spelunkerdoom 20 Jul, 2014 @ 9:35pm
Hi, this is a long shot, but it seems I have a similar problem to cucu200.

I subscribe. I enable the mod. It shows in the next screen that it is enabled. I click on single player. The Crimea civ does not appear.

I subscribed to a different mod called Cordelia civ. That works fine and so do other mods by that author. But none of your awesome mods seem to show up even though they are enabled. :..(
Kiang  [author] 20 Jul, 2014 @ 9:08pm
@PaperLaguzFan:I cheacked things out, and long story short, it's totally possible with lua, but I'd have to borrow a lot of code. While that's totally possible, I'd personally rather just stick with a more balanced version of what I have right now. That said, it's a very good and doable idea, so thanks for that! Any otherideas for traits and stuff for future civs (Tellius or otherwise) can be posted on my Civfanatics page: http://forums.civfanatics.com/showthread.php?t=529081

Thanks! =)
Kiang  [author] 20 Jul, 2014 @ 7:24pm
@PaperLaguzFan: Thanks for the idea! It's just in time for the modpack. I'm pretty awful with lua, but I'll give it a shot. =) And I know, Children of Wisdom is pretty broken at the moment, so I'm always happy for more trait ideas.
PaperMarioFan 20 Jul, 2014 @ 7:09am
Yo! I'm not sure if you're still looking into another trait for Crimea, but if you are, may I suggest an idea I came up for my own Crimea?

It was gonna be that, upon declaring friendship and until that runs its course, the capitals of both civs (Crimea and another) get +2 food and +1 gold. Crimea's markets always seemed pretty bustling, anyway. Crimea could earn and share their prosperity.

Having all farms give 2 science seemed kind of very powerful, so I thought I'd send my idea if ya wanted to use it. You can do it in lua! I think.
Dread Pirate Tuco 16 Jul, 2014 @ 3:33am
Funfact: Crimea is actually a real place!
Kiang  [author] 15 Jul, 2014 @ 9:05pm
@Jonnasn: I was actually going to group the Hawk, Ravens, and Herons into the United Bird Tribes, much like they did canonically at the end of Radiant Dawn.I was going to use the UU's (Hawk and Raven) to represent Phoenicis and Kilvas, and maybe lead with a Heron. But Tibarn was the canon leader of this newly proposed nation, so... I dunno. xD
Jonnasn 15 Jul, 2014 @ 8:29am
Woot! That sounds awesome :D I suppose the Beast Laguz having better movement in Forests and Jungle is a no-brainer, and maybe both Tigers&Cats could be UUs (replacing Knights&Lancers, maybe?). Dragons could potentially replace siege units and have Isolation bonuses (like better inner trade routes or something). Phoenicis and Kilvas are less obvious, maybe theme the ravens over becoming a "Mercenary Nation" (maybe something unique they could offer in the diplomacy screen?) and Phoenicis could...have herons? Aerial trading routes? And I can't even imagine how to make balanced UUs.
Kiang  [author] 12 Jul, 2014 @ 8:43pm
@Jonnasn: Actually, the Laguz nations are probably what's up next. There are a bunch of useful animal unit models up on CivFanatics, which I'll probably end up using. There are Hawks, Ravens, Tigers, Lions, et cetera. Any recommendations or suggestions for them would be great. =)
Jonnasn 12 Jul, 2014 @ 5:29pm
Yeah, I was just curious, because I tried to have a game with her and Micaiah as my opponents and, while the theme is awesome when you're playing as them, it sounds weird when it pops up in the Diplomacy screen :P
But yeah, awesome stuff you have here. Too bad Laguz aren't that feasible (Tibarn and Naesala would have, what, early aircraft?)
Kiang  [author] 12 Jul, 2014 @ 4:30pm
@Jonnasn: Because I'm in love with the Fire Emblem Theme Song. ^^; And it's really about it. Any suggestions, though, would be welcome as well. I had originally considered Elincia's Theme, but it seemed a tad too mellow for the overall peace theme. Pretty tune, though.
Jonnasn 12 Jul, 2014 @ 1:26pm
Well, other than thinking Crimea is slightly overpowered (so much Science!), I only have a small question: why is the peace theme the same for every one of your Tellius Civs? Elincia has a couple of themes that would work great for peacetime.
Kiang  [author] 10 Jul, 2014 @ 7:33pm
@CatchyStick: Haha, okay, I'll look into it after Begnion. =) Thanks.
Dunk 10 Jul, 2014 @ 11:53am
This mod is great! Lovin the bonus on the farms, but they make Science victories a little too easy. I always seem to be two eras ahead of everybody else.
