I also am revealing that I have been working on a very ambitious project over the past year, I'm not going to reveal any of the details yet except that it is its own game but if you appreciate the quality and goals of this submod, I think you will like it :)
ameazing work
Thank you for your dedication to this mod, because of it I will consider making an update patch in May, although I am quite busy and it has been a really long time since I have last played Hearts of Iron 4, and I am now doing actual software development work.
If you would like to play, I believe the following should still work:
1. Reset your game to version 1.14.10 in your Hearts of Iron 4 settings
2. Enable the mod (Ignore if it says outdated)
3. Enable the OUTDATED version of Great War Redux listed as a required mod on this page
4. Disable the new DLC's released after Trial Of Allegiance
5. Play! If this doesn't work try clearing you user cache and try again.
The owner of Canton Bay is French Indochina, so it meets the two conditions for skipping the "Request Canton Bay" national policy: it is not controlled and owned by the French Republic, and it is not controlled and owned by Da Nan. Every time I play, the system directly skips the national policy, which makes it impossible to trigger the event "Qing Empire claims Guangzhou Bay" and cannot claim Guangzhou Bay peacefully.
