WHAT A FANTASTIC MAP! Usually, I am very precise in choosing maps, so I often prefer to create them by myself, but this map is really well done, specifically I love the way canyons were created and in general the ditches of the streams that flow into the lake, excellent level of topographical detail! Just one question, Terrain Party doesn't seem to work anymore (in fact I can't create maps anymore), so how did u create this map?

This doesn't help now, I'm currently building Swiss residences of several types and will build both Spiez and Thun RR Stations. But I am slow, so its going to take several weeks if not 2 or 3 months

I visited Thun about 10 years ago and thought it was a phenomenal city. So cool to be able to make my own version here. You did a really great job of getting the feel. The bridges are great!

Making great steps. Already corrected the flow of the Aare. Placed the main train station and STI bus lines 1-6. Parts of Lerchenfeld, Westquartier and Hohmad as well as Kaliforni have been populated. 3 halls for the future Patriot system currently under construction are already placed. The Turboroundabout at Steffisburg has been placed. The entire Autobahn has been ripped out and replaced with the 2 lane that it is. Intersections Thun Süd, Nord and the bypass linking it to the Turbo have been placed.
As already stated traffic is really bad but that just makes it even more realistic.

Probably bbb didnt see your map making video and had understimated the quality and precision of this work. For me it's the best map i've seen in a long time (cant remember how long lol). I don't think there are many others maps with that quantity of work

@Slovenius... I run 32 gigs mem, Intel I7-7800x, Asus x299 motherboard with a nvidia quadro P4000 graphics card. You dont need a Quadro for gaming, this system works well for me.

Yes and he did an absolutely horrible job. I think he has been doing this so long he is losing interest. Which is understandable. I don't know how one could do a proper job of evaluating a map every day. I was not pleased with his sloppy uninformed presentation by any means.

The fork Unlimited Outside Connections Revisited 1.0.1 has been tagged [DEPRECATED] by Algernon, replaced by Unlimited Outside Connections, the updated original mod from Boformer now co-credited to Algernon. You may wish to make the change in your required mods collection, as some uninformed players could be scared away by a required deprecated mod. I used the original one as soon as he was updated and fixed and it doesn't alter your map in any way.

@upto11 you are right, best to start from a clean install with only map requirements on any new map (IMOP). That is particulary the case for the new EML stuff which could easily still have some incompatibilities with older mods. After all it is only just out of beta. That said I haven't had any difficulties since switching to EML a few weeks ago, on my current builds. And no problems getting this beautiful map to work either. Have left a comment to that effect on the review video under VCs op, just hope it leads to a clarification of the situation rather than further stirring of the pot... life goes on.

@Roq: answering to VC on FB, BBB writes "I've tried everything with the Relight and Eyecandy settings and can't get anything close to the promo image". So what's going on is very simple: instead of unsubbing to these two mods and only subbing to Daylight Classic as required by the map, he went for what he used for all his reviews. A very poor method.

@upto11 I’m pretty sure that BBB is aware of management using collections, not least because he made a video about it two years ago. I can’t say I know what is going on exactly, but I hate to see these disputes brewing up and souring relationships between people who generally have good intentions and a passion for the game.

@Roq: any semi-serious player has a collection of his day-to-day mods. Then all you have to do is unsub everything, resub only the required mods for testing each new map, then do the opposite after testing. It's quick and easy. But BBB didn't, maybe never did. He preferred staying subbed to HIS conflicting mods and dismissing some required ones. Nobody said he was intentionally diss this map but it's diss all the same. BBB earns money judging maps freely shared by modders. He's supposed to do a better job than these sloppy reviews.

To be fair BBBs presentation did make me interested enough to come here and subscribe to the map. I’m sure it wasn’t his intention to diss the map, he was just having some problems with mods, something that isn’t uncommon and has recently been exacerbated by the dlc release.

It was an extremely poor presentation, I think he should find another form of self expression, perhaps he has been doing his shtick to long.

Yes I thought his presentation was done in a manner to make the map look as poor as possible. I'm thinking about telling him if he cant present things in a proper manner then don't review my maps or assets in the future. He basically made a mockery out of it. I have not engaged with him and most likely wont, I dont think his presentation deserves a response plus If I respond then I'm put in a position of waiting for his response. So then I'm waiting on him, just not going there.

On a side note, this part about BBB's review where he says the stars he gives takes into account the mapmaker's reputation and he always expects more of a top modder is pure patronizing, like some college teacher. As a player, my enjoyment of a map rest on the map and nothing else.

BonBonB's review is so sloppy it's useless. He was unable to use all the required list's mods (which I've been doing for 2 days now, without a single conflict) but went for his own mods instead. As a result, he sees blue mantles where there are none and the graphics are pretty generic (wrong LUT?).
