The attitudes I used in the video are added with the Tactical Legacy Pack/Expansion DLC, and can be unlocked easily via mods. I believe you can access them through this right here: https://steamhost.cn/steamcommunity_com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=1535023259

You do need to own the TLP DLC to be able to access them, of course.

I'm curious, is that vanilla xcom attitudes? I've never seen those before (I'm a wotc player)

Thank you for adding the third voice to the pack. This version is a vast improvement over the other one on the workshop so it's nice to see it completed.

@Tanager Hey, no problem man! I'm glad you were able to use the voicepack and get AML up and running. I put a lot of effort into this mod so I'd like for everyone to be able to use it without issue; I hope you find it to your liking :)

Thank you for the polite comments, and have fun with your campaign!

Funny timing, I just got done configuring AML and finally getting it to function. I've got a few more mods I need to download over the course of the night but I was able to test the voicepack out, and it's definitely working through AML. Sorry for all the hassle, hope you have a nice morning/day/night!

@Tanager I'm very much a novice when it comes to modding/programming, and I can only begin to imagine what causes any mod to work/not work with the 2K launcher. I'm very reluctant to go back and fiddle with the mod package in ModBuddy in fear I might screw something up, since it took a great deal of trial and error getting this voicepack to work in the first place. Perhaps if I were more experienced I'd give it a try.

All I can suggest in the meantime is that you go ahead and give AML another shot. Honestly in the long run it'll be am immense improvement over what you're using now, trust me. Please let me know if there's anything else I can do to help!

@Unslain Dragon I appreciate the swift response. This situation is kind of strange too because it would appear that the other Shadow Company mod, which has no context basis for the lines that are played, is suddenly functioning on the new launcher despite not being made for WOTC initially and having failed to work on the original XCOM 2 launcher. Perhaps with the permission of that author you'd be able to compare the programming between the two mods and see where things may have gone janky? I'm not much into computer programming but it seems to me like there'd be something going on there in this case that's suddenly allowing it to work.

Either way I'll definitely try to give AML a second shot, as I have a few other mods still that are unable to boot up on the new launcher, and it's been hampering the experience. Thanks for the speedy feedback on this! I can't wait to get this up and running!

@Tanager I tried going back and troubleshooting the mod to see if I could get it to work with 2K's launcher and unfortunately I haven't had any luck. I wish I knew the issue that was preventing it from showing up, but I couldn't find any solutions online either.

The default 2K launcher is shoddy at best and has never worked well for me, so I've just used AML for the past few years and it runs perfectly. This video I found might help you in setting it up correctly: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zk8XGppXslw

If that doesn't work, feel free to add me on Steam or Discord and I'll do my best to walk you through the process myself if you're having trouble setting it up. AML is vastly more convenient and practical when it comes to managing mods (at least in my experience) and I'd highly encourage you to give it a second try. I appreciate your comment and I hope I can/could be of some help!

Unfortunately this one isn't showing up for me either through the default 2K Launcher, is there any chance you'll be able to troubleshoot this one further and perhaps come up with a solution? Of the two Shadow Company voicepacks that have been made, yours is the closest I've seen to functional.

I would use the AML like suggested but I've never had any luck in getting that thing to work as intended.

@Jhett I'm sorry you're having issues running the mod. I honestly don't know of any bugs dealing with the 2K launcher. It worked fine with the launcher when testing it in debug mode, but apart from that I pretty much only use the Alternate Mod Manager and it works just fine with that.
JhettZero 18 Feb, 2022 @ 9:07pm
Not sure if it's me, but this mod is literally the only mod that doesn't load into the default 2K mod manager.

Thanks for mod. Please, can you tell me name of music from video?

@Blackfoot Awesome, thanks for giving it a try!

Creating a voicepack might seem like a daunting task when looking at the tutorials, but it’s actually quite straightforward and easy if you follow the instructions correctly and install the required tools for modding.

Here are the main voice modding tutorials that I used to help me along the way:

Sounds cool, i'll take it. Also, how'd you managed to do your voicepack? You have any guides or anything?
Iridar 24 Jan, 2022 @ 9:26pm
@Unslain Dragon
Deleting shader cache is not necessary. Try doing the following:
Solution -> Clean
Solution -> Build

and that's all, see if the mod builds then.
The Unslain Dragon  [author] 24 Jan, 2022 @ 3:15pm
@Iridar Hey man, thanks for the advice! I did manage to get the mod tags working through using the Alternate Mod Uploader, however I'm running into a problem when trying to cook the mod. I deleted my project's Shader Cache per the voicepack tutorial's instructions, and now every time I try to build the mod after completing step 3 it just keeps re-adding the BuildCache folder and failing the build due to the missing Shader Cache file.

I'm not sure where to go from here, so if you have any more advice on how to remedy the issue I'd be very appreciative.

Hi! Just letting you know you can use this method to add workshop tags to your mod:
https://www.reddit.com/r/xcom2mods/wiki/wotc_modding/workshop#wiki_workshop_tags

You can also cook the mod to reduce its size by about ~15 times and improve loading time, if you're feeling up to the challenge:
