Everything in Niilo's QoL can be disabled. I'm using both and I don't think I've encountered any errors.

I will take a look to see how compatible Niilo's QoL and Docworld Lite are. The worst that will happen is some patches collision, but nothing gamebreaking.

This mod is a fork/continued version of Docworld, with the changes from the original described above, and isn't something that I like to change much. I will be doing a review of the patches soon for 1.4, updating them and maybe tweaking them more to my liking and current playstyle.

Nilos is free to copy the patches contained in this mod that interest him, it's not like xml patches are something really original that deserves protection on the same level than code or art that other mods have.

Hey, theres a similar mod here: https://steamhost.cn/steamcommunity_com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2633406344

Obviously there's tons of overlap, but maybe its worth poking through to see if anything can be merged/integrated.

@brucethemoose

ah, I am glad you reported that! at first sight I just realized that the helixien buildings were removed to their own mod. and I will check the other buildings too.

As mods change I will need to adjust some patch or other, and some mods may be uploaded as Continued versions by other people and so the patches need to target those mods. Feel free to point out any bugs/errors and patches suggestions in the discussions pinned here!

Thanks for updating this! This is quite a patch.

About Real Ruins, that is very strange, as I modified the names and id of the mod, it should not happen. but anyway, it would be a problem on Real Ruins part.

Not sure if this is me finding a old thing, or me having the wrong settings, but with real ruins, I can still come across the DocWorld vents and coolers despite not being able to make them in the architect menu with the default settings.

Thanks for your kindly reply :) What I want to report is that: The mod you indicated from Mlie does not touch the props in original Docworld mod, and vice versa. Though both of them use the images of VFE-props. There were about 50+ useful storage props in the latter, such as hay bale, wood logs, brick pile, cargo container, ATM and so on. All of these are lack in Mile's mod.

@da812manymonkey thanks!

@IceMaverick try dubs mint menus, at least for me it seems the different menu doesn't make me bothered by the clutter anymore.

@RampagingAlbatross thank you!

@Dr Zhivago I hope I can bear that as well, but do come back to Rimworld! thanks and I wish you the best too!
Dr Zhivago 27 Jan, 2022 @ 12:01pm
I hope you can manage to bear the weight that comes with the Doc franchise ;D

Good luck!

Thanks for the continuation of the mod compatibility. I always thought it was kind of odd to combine a light overhaul mod with a categorisation mod, and this suits what I wanted perfectly.
IceMaverick 25 Jan, 2022 @ 6:47pm
Yeah I don't want to try to detract from the work you've done. When a mod is dead, any effort to revive any portion of it is saint's work so good job on that. It's just that I exist in the unfortunate group that's still waiting around for the first half because that's the part of the mod I was using it for.
I've actually subbed to Tab Sorting because of your description, just waiting for a day where I'm free enough to sit down and resort every single architect object into appropriately condensed categories to get me back to some semblance of where I was.
Losing out on Dropdown Designator condensing is the biggest hurt. Lategame in my modlist - even with the original Docworld installed and condensing things - is still a huge wall of icons that takes up half of my screen if I open the Production buildings tab. Do not look forward to seeing anything becoming uncondensed when it's already this bad in its packed form.
da812manymonkey 25 Jan, 2022 @ 7:41am
Love it! Glad to see this back.
Miguel V-DF  [author] 25 Jan, 2022 @ 2:08am
@IceMaverick I do understand your frustation. I offered alternatives that I find sufficient, and the categories that I didn't indicate, like architect icons and such, also have mods that can easily be found by searching. Give the Tab-sorting mod a chance, maybe you will like it.
there are efforts from other modders to bring this particular part of the mod back, but Docworld was a huge mod, and I don't know when/if these features it will come back, as the work in making individualized patches and then testing them is huge. go to the discord and give @purogamer some love to encourage him
Miguel V-DF  [author] 25 Jan, 2022 @ 2:07am
Thank you all for the comments. @muyun459 I didn't understand what you said. the mod I indicated has quite a bit of storage units that, like the docworld module, use the images of the VE props mod. I have been noticing some things that could be better in the Functional props mod and it would help if you give details, so I can help Mlie in making that mod better.

@The Ducthman, thank you for your zeal, but there is no need to be rude here.

@Dogedogay I presume you are joking hehe

@VolatileGlitchAviator it must be a joke, he can't be really asking that

I was so excited to see this as a continuation... Until I saw that the Lite tag meant it cut the only features I cared about Docworld doing. The mod integration is neat and all, but the whole premise of Docworld was cleaning up all of the tripe that every single mod loves to add and condensing it down into a few, sensible categories so that every major mod can present itself in a unified, managed, clean setup. Docworld's existence was so that we didn't have to install 8 different mods to bring everything into a sensible layout. After reading what was kept versus cut, I can say I'd be less miffed if the lists were entirely flipped. That all being said, at least you put forth the effort to keep some form of Docworld going, so big props for that.

This mod is super great. And would you like to consider taking back the function "props used as storage"? The mod you mentioned above " Functional Vanilla Expanded Props (Continued) " just gives few props storage use. Thx
