Ahh bugger. I've done the same thing: Bought the track builder from the USSR customs, then built my rail network to connect to the same customs house. Once I was ready to import and export by rail I bought the locomotive from the same customs house - only to discover that it's not possible to load it onto a vehicle (I'm using the Heavy Steam Hauler and the Two Horse Open Hull Wagon), nor is it possible to buy the locomotive itself and have it travel to my rail yards by rail.
Now I'm broke from the rail construction, and unable to even use this railway for anything :steamsad:.
I just saw the other comments. Based on Walta's comment, I now see I needed to connect to the NATO customs house to buy the locomotive. I'm playing in realistic, and this is a huge amount of playtime lost :steamsad:.
Can you please remove the disassembled locomotive from the customs houses, if it's not possible to pick up? This would prevent tricking other players into making the same mistake in future.

+1 for rubles version. I spent a dozen hours on an early save just to realise the train can't be used since it can only be bought disassembled from a USSR boarder post so my entire railway is stuck now.

oh, really a pity

It seems that dissembled trains can only be brought to a rail construction office. There's nothing I can do about that unfortunately.

The track builder works excellently, the Peckett (disassembly) as a single locomotive does not go to the depot unfortunately.
or am I doing something wrong?
Rail connections are available to the most necessary buildings.
Would it be possible to make the Peckett available in both currencies?(not as a dismantled version)
It can also be more expensive in rubles than in dollars.

What do you mean? All trains need track to run on, and in realistic mode you have to use a track builder to lay track. I also made a track builder mod based on the same train.

Can you perhaps make it possible to make the locomotive functional without a track builder?
It's the only loco at an early start, a lot of players are counting on you ;-)

It's possible that the dissembled trains only work with rail construction vehicles, which is a shame. I didn't realise that when I added it.

Hi, thanks for the models. I've a problem with the disassembled loco : I bought it at Customs but a truck can only carry it to a Vehicle Storage, where it remains packaged. It can't be moved to a Train Depot and is not transported to an RCO (the truck just tavel empty from the Customs). So my question is, where do I send the disassembled loco for it to be usable?

Finally a locomotive for my 1905 start!! Thanks a lot!

Any thought of a track builder version? That's still lacking until 1923.

@ryantheskinny yeah! with all these vehicle mods, if someone was to make some skins and a map, we could have the Socialist Republic of Sodor!
