how does the tech, gold and production register? i should be able to hover over science in my capital city and see how much is being contributed from cities on other continents, right?

this mod conflicts with vanilla England
Nixon#1 12 May, 2024 @ 1:48am
Good day, sir.
I have a problem with a First-Rate unit - it does not appear even in my Battleships tech.
I also have EE mod.
What can cause the problem?
Because I saw there are 2 First-Rates, but one from your mod and other from EE?
friend robocat 31 Jan, 2023 @ 7:53pm
for a civ build around colonizing other continents, the Victoria AI sure loves to just stay at home instead of expanding
Yeetn 20 Mar, 2021 @ 3:24pm
Pleeease make this compatible with civ VI leader traits again, thank you
Vix 7 Mar, 2020 @ 8:22am
Is there any way to change this civilization's colours?
I've successfully changed the colour of Churchill's Great Britain, also by JFD.
However, changing the values in the ArtDefines.sql for this civ only seems to change the colour of the Elizabeth's England civ.

I need help with this mod, i activate it on the mods section but when i proceed to the game setup it just isnt on the civ list. Weird thing is, the changes have been applied to Elizabeth's england but the longbowman is the only visible unique unit for her. I've tried everything i can think of: deleting cache, disabling all mods, deleting+redownloading the mod, verifying cache but it still doesnt appear. Anyone have any idea what to do?

i dunno what everyone's complaning about...

dur kween's picture looks fine... highly accurate portrait imo.

Cybercossack 26 Aug, 2017 @ 5:18am
this mod sounds great though a better picture of the queen wouldnt hurt
tim.howley 17 Aug, 2017 @ 10:43am
Still a great mod though. And in reply to the guy that doesn't like redcoats replacing riflemen; we still had redcoats up into the 1880s and they were riflemen ( e.g watch the film 'Zulu'). In fact a rifleman, the rank that is, is part of a rifle regiment and their old uniform was green.
tim.howley 17 Aug, 2017 @ 10:39am
Just an aesthetic question. Where did you get the artwork for Queen Victoria? She looks like someone's grandmother from Honolulu. Nothing but respect for Honolulu, but.. damn. That ain't our Queen Vic.
ComputerDude 9 Jan, 2017 @ 10:12pm
Is this compatible with the Enlightenment Era mod, because when I played with both of them the UI was all messed up. I had no other mods installed.

Just wanted to say that I love this but Is it just me or does she look like Roseanne?

Does the added science to the capitol still work? If it does, what would the tooltip say the science is being added as?
Baboof4278 4 Sep, 2016 @ 4:11pm
Ok, but can I still use the first rate in the industrial era, or does it get upgraded? I would love to be able to use the unique units at the same time, and then use the industrial era mod so I can keep using them for the entire game.
JFD  [author] 4 Sep, 2016 @ 11:18am
The model is a rifleman, however.
Baboof4278 4 Sep, 2016 @ 11:16am
I love this mod. I like that it makes Elizibeth's unique units be in the same era. However, I dont like how the redcoat replaces the rifleman instead of the musketman. Think of it this way. The redcoats were around the same time as the minutemen, but the minuteman replaces the musketman. I still love this mod, but I would love it more if the redcoat replaced the musketman, instead of the rifleman.

Victoria made it to civ 6 :)

Anyone know the name of the British war theme?
TFXCVII 26 May, 2016 @ 4:57am
I'd like to see our cultural borders be pink, as maps of that time often show us as pink. Just think that would be a nice touch! Still a great mod regardless. Not sure why it's not in the base game...
Littica Marek 29 Apr, 2016 @ 7:50pm
Man would love a mod that changed the Leader (And Leader Attatched Units) eath each new era these mods are amazing by the way
M."M".C. 7 Apr, 2016 @ 10:07am
Hello, I intend to do some translation work on the mods I use and love, since I'm french and it seems to be pretty easy to do. Are you interested if I do it on your mods? (god I hate that steam don't make it possible to private messaging someone, I would have preferred to talk to you about it directly than to wait for you to see this message but hey, it is as it is).
This concern not only this mod, but I would prefer to make some restrictions. Anyway if you're interested answer to me here, or send me a friend request (as I just accept everyone, no care)
Ravidalfs 16 Mar, 2016 @ 7:24pm
This mod should replace the other England.
rafer1997 25 Feb, 2016 @ 3:48pm
I had uninque cultral influnce as one of my mods while I was playing Egypt led by Ankhetean. when I grew cultrally dominant over another civ, they still say "Our people are listening to your pop music and wearing your bluejeans...". On the civ customistion wiki each of your civs has a uninque cultral influnce. do i need a diffrent mod?
That Squishy Guy 12 Feb, 2016 @ 2:13pm
@JFD oh, awesome. can't wait to play around with those mods then. Thanks for the reply!
JFD  [author] 12 Feb, 2016 @ 2:10pm
@That Squishy Guy You can disable the Liz changes in this mod, however, they both work together fine - replacing distinct components and not overlapping.
That Squishy Guy 12 Feb, 2016 @ 1:46pm
i'd love to be able to have this and Henry the VIII but they both change Elizibeth in different ways, is there a version where they don't alter Liz? so i could have both. They are brilliant looking mods btw :)
Foxxedhound 4 Feb, 2016 @ 4:46pm
I also thought a cool idea would be to combine whole civilizations with all things, but then again it sounds complex.
Foxxedhound 4 Feb, 2016 @ 4:45pm
Theres no custom soundtrack with cultural diversity, so its just blank while playing.
JFD  [author] 21 Jan, 2016 @ 12:08pm
@andysummers It was just a mod support update
andysummers 21 Jan, 2016 @ 7:46am
Just saw this was updated. I love the original, would you mind detailing the changes before I make a decision?
Misko 8 Jan, 2016 @ 5:33pm
Is there anyway to use the original England UA but replace the Ship of the Line or the Longbowman with the Redcoat? You were able to handpick certain traits with "The Germans" mod, so I was wondering if there's a way to do something similar here? Great mod otherwise!
ENTJ 14 Nov, 2015 @ 1:20am
good job!
DarkKnight 9 Nov, 2015 @ 5:43am
By the way, would you consider making Roman Empire mods? Marcus Aureilus perhaps?
DarkKnight 9 Nov, 2015 @ 5:43am
This mod won't load. Actually, all your mods seem to be crashing. Any ideas?
Venusaisha 29 Oct, 2015 @ 3:14am
changes england civs for the better bits. 8)
zArkham4269 7 Oct, 2015 @ 1:59pm
Great! I'm finding that it's rare a game gets to far past the development of nuclear weapons so unless you do a advanced start (which messes up your mercenary mod) it's better to use earlier civs.
JFD  [author] 7 Oct, 2015 @ 1:58pm
@zArkham4269 Yea, I intend to make a pack of thematic civs together. The first will be an ancient era pack (for the Egypts), but I'll do that once Akhenaten has been updated. And I do intend to release a bunch of WW1~ civs next month, amongst them Teddy, George V, Clemanceau, and Carol I (Romania).
zArkham4269 7 Oct, 2015 @ 11:17am
I notice you tend to create groups of Civs. Given Victoria and Meji and a lot of others, are you going to make a Theodore Roosevelt to round out the pre-WW I expansion era?

Also, I reiterate it would be nice if you could create actual groups so that all the Nile civs would activate or the WW II ones and the like. I like games where all the civ's UU hit about the same time.
Chrisy15 14 Aug, 2015 @ 4:22am
Personally I find the new SotLs a bit impractical. Although 9 - move frigates are nice, they leave their supporting privateers miles behind, while losing the combat bonus seems a bit of a shame. I'd rather they lost their speed bonus, but kept their combat bonus. Exploration and/or Great Lighthouse would still allow for the hit-and-run strats that make renaissance naval combat so potent, but the privateers would also get those bonuses, meaning they can keep up. On a side note, my globe-spanning empire generated a whole % science in my capital! Most of those were 1%s, with a 50 prod Lisbon generating 2%. Could do with a buff?
axatoramus 29 Jul, 2015 @ 1:58pm
Crashes when around 1492 (marathon), when England is 1 turn from making Military Academies.

Unfortunately civ doesnt give a error log, so this is what I get from trial and error.

I deleted England the turn before the crash, and the game could continue.

When I return England, it crashes again.
barrycjacobsen 5 Jun, 2015 @ 1:49am
Ok, got the mod to load and played for a while. Now I have another question: what happened to the Ship of the Line, special British unit?
barrycjacobsen 4 Jun, 2015 @ 4:12pm
I subscribed and it showed-up in my Mod file. But when I enabled the mod, hit next, and attempted to start a game as Victoria, that wasn't an option; only the vanilla Elizabeth. Please advise.
Venusaisha 30 May, 2015 @ 8:29pm
works for me anyway.
Dutch 29 May, 2015 @ 3:28pm
@JFD Can't you make this: The United Kingdom of Great Britain and Ireland and the other one: The United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland? That would be historically accurate and fix the problem at the same time.
