Hi! Are you planning to add sandbox options to manually set walk to distance? I'd like to make a version of this mod that changes the walk to distance to 20 or more squares.

A radial menu for this mod would be nice!

Disable it when you right click so it doesn't start in combat please

Hmm is it only if you die while the action is running? I thought I've died a few times now and didn't have that happen, but I'll try and reproduce that next im on.

Originally I was going to do that actually, but I ran into a few logistical issues so ended up opting for the context menu. IIRC the two issues I encountered were that since two movement keys are often being pressed at once due to the isometric view it was difficult to find a key that could be used with the pinky that doesnt have an existing binding/conflict (and ofcourse people wouldnt wanna take their hand off the mouse), that and every once in a while when detecting the direction of the player the autowalk would get it wrong and start walking in a slightly different direction (likely due to my own mistake), so I saw the context menu as a suitable band aid to the situation without having to tinker too much more with the other implement

a hotkey for autowalking in the direcction we are looking at would be perfect.

Totally forgot about it! Thanks :)

it doesn't work for driving no, but there is a vanilla cruise control if you hold shift you can toggle the speed up and down with W/S keys and itll keep going in whatever direction your headed :happymeat:

does this also work for driving?

Nonetheless, to tell you what I know from using the mod - they have 3 methods of activating/ triggering their 'walk to/ move to' command.

1- via a configurable hotkey
2- single click on ground (way too fiddly for me)
3- double click

Both of your versions - one must press 'shift'/ run hotkey to run while your character is in the process of already 'walking to'.

Their version has a 'pre-visualization' (green box) of the tile which you selected your character to move to, so that you know which tile your headed off to.

AFAIK they have no infinite movement hands-free capability like your mod, so they DO, as you say, have a practical reason to be used side by side.

Maybe you could adopt the idea of using a hotkey to begin/ trigger the AutoWalkTo feature or some other of the aspects based on your liking and preferences.

Great mod, thanks! :GiveHug: :Thedead:

Indeed! Its funny because searching 'AutoMove' wont bring up results for 'AutoWalk' or even 'move' or 'walk' for that matter. I think that's how I stumbled upon your mod when I was looking for the other mod's page. Or...did it go the other way around... ;)

Oh I see what you mean now too, it seems the offer slightly different functionality if I'm even reading theirs right. Theirs adds kinda a built in MoveTo on all the time you can trigger a few different ways, while this one just allows for infinite walking in a single direction (unless theirs offers that hands free too in which case that's definitely a more robust set of choices). That being said if it doesn't the two in theory would have potential reason to be used side by side.

LOL, clearly I didnt do a good enough job searching the workshop before I made this bahaha. Thanks for pointing that mod out! I searched things like autorun and didn't see any options at the time. I'll have to check their version out it may very well be better, I kinda just smacked this together because I like to multitask while my character takes forever walking down the long road

Hey, I just wanted to let you know about a mod i've been using that has the same functionality as your mod. Linked below:

Maybe there is some optimisation or something to be learnt from looking at both?

Cheers!

This is absolutely excellent. I often don't have to use the click-to-move function, but when I do something like this would be a ton more useful.

Awesome.

Absolutely awesome. Thank you!
