I recently fixed this issue for another one of my followers that frequently uses the Bandit and a few more legacy creations, give me a shout and I'll show you how.
Stability improved thanks to Seb.
Rear Winches are now functional.
Additionally, youre friends must have the weapons DLC, and be in a weapons DLC enabled world, in order for weapons to work.
There is no Autopilot because there is no space for one, nor have I found one which is capable of properly counteracting the forces of wind and waves, and when there is very light winds and waves the boat can maintain its course perfectly so an Autopilot is not needed.
The boat has hull stabilisation and can remain stable in the Littorals (Near the Coast where the water is calmer) upto 50% wind. It will only tip over if you use the boat improperly.
As for the bed, you are right, I have uploaded a fix to that.

Then go into the Accommodation Section, close the door to the engine room, and the EPU is in a little cubbyhole, there is a push button on the panel, push and hold for about 2 seconds and the engine will start.
To kill the EPU shut off the valve in the engine room.
