Some fighters can't land. Carrier's wall is in the way. They avoid collision and keep trying again.

Does this ship work, or is it still facing issues with the launch tubes?

I really hope it works, this is a great ship and a staple of any large fleet.

i love this carrier. it has such a strong AA stance along with its swarm of S fighters/ bombers and its 2 M pads for that extra AA. i struggle to siege with it but i swarm and obliterate all the fleets the xenon and khaak have thrown at me and my carrier group of 6 of these XD. but good lord the amount of cred that is needed to replace the fighters is back breaking.
i like doing 1 shot open verse games with this where i take a number of these and a fleets of destroyers and attack the Xenon threat. then when i cant really fight them after wiping sectors of them, i go back to the factions and run missions or i try a new verse with diff builds of these carriers and the fighter/bomber crafts.

this is by far the best carrier ever! my absolute favorite! don't remove it pls! I would even play on older game versions just to have that ship in my fleet(s)!

Please don't remove it, it's my favorite ship in the game! I can't imagine a playthrough without it, as it's the main thing I look forward to attaining and building toward the end game. It's a fantastic platform and the only ship apart from Raptor that can hold a sector alone.

Don't remove the mod, its working for me at least. I really love your carrier here, its probably my favorite of all the carriers.

But you do what you got to do, just know you have at least one person who loves your work.

@Valegorn that was before egosoft updated the game to use new collision mesh. I tried to recreate the collision mesh using egosoft's tool but still couldn't get it to work properly. So ships get stuck in the launch tubes. I most likely will be removing the mod if it is not compatible with the the new update 7.0. Sorry for the inconvenient. I no longer have time to update my mods :(

Oddball Question.

How on earth can I get my fighters to launch like they are in the 4th of 8 picture here.

For some reason my fighters never take off that way, they just all take off out the top of the carrier. Am I not doing something right? Do I have to store the fighters first, if so how do I store the fighters without doing it one by one (which is crazy). Do I have to be piloting the carrier in order to do this? I'm lost because I love this ship and how it has those launch bays on the side.

Love your ship design. It feels like a mobile platform for sector against the enemies.

However, could you design possibly design the bridge is more higher?

I would like a view to overlook the landing pads on the deck. Maybe you use the inspiration from the aircraft carrier irl (right side in the middle of the ship).

For some reason M class ships assigned to this ship will constantly try to dock. I can't assign any corvettes or frigates to defend, intercept, or attack. Basically after being assigned to any of those, they fly around for a minute or 2 and then immediately try to dock with Scaldis. Then they spend minutes docking and undocking constantly. If you allow the internal storage, maybe this wouldn't happen?

Way to OP in my opinion so i reduced the capacity of ship storage. Also removed 1 XL shield but added some more hit points.

-Reduced XL shield from 4 to 3
-Reduced S-Ship capacity from 180 to 140
-Reduced M-Ship capacity from 8 to 0

Could be a bug due to new collision mesh. I did my best tweaking the mesh to eliminate issues with S ships docking/undocking but it is not perfect. Egosoft recently released a new version of the tool so im hoping to find sometime to give it another round of tweaking.

Love the ship as always. Was shocked with the name change but all good. One problem i've experienced is that that S class ships don't seem to go into internal storage automatically to allow other ships to land. Some spaces will but not all. IS this a feature or a potential bug?

@ViperMkII I removed the mod. With the new 6.0 update that came out along side the DLC, Egosoft introduced a new collision system which broke all mod ships. With my limited skill in 3D modelling, I can only update the Scaldis and the Hoshi (Work in Progress). The Arawn model is unique with its hollow/opened up design which makes it hard for me to fix/redo the collision mesh. I would love to fix it as well but I just can't for now. Maybe down the road when I have more time to learn and figure things out....or if I find someone who can do it for me.

Would love to hear feedback on the new changes. Wonder if you guys having more or less issues with small ships getting stuck inside the Scaldis. This new update is my attempt to reduce that possibility.

-Added 2 M ships internal storage. @oil888j
-Redone ships collision mesh to hopefully reduce chance of docking ships getting stuck in the Scaldis's geometry (issue with the new collision in 6.0)
-Added waypoints for docking ships to speedup docking procedures, and reduce chance of ships getting stuck (issue with the new collision in 6.0)
-Relocated the launchtubes slightly to "hopefully" reduce chance of ship getting stuck in the launchtube during launch (issue with the new collision in 6.0)
-Relocated Crew quarters and brig to fix the invisible wall blocking player. @DrKartoffelsalat
