The only reason I think they are called glaives is because I think it was named after the weapon in the 1983 movie Krull.

So this isnt an actual weapon but a prop, i downloaded all of these thinking that i could kill things maybe even fight someone else with them in some sort of roleplay but nope. Unsubbing :P

Glaives in Warcraft are essentially used by swinging your arms back and forth like a mad man. They're used by Night Elves, and even moe commonly by the edgelords known as Demon Hunters. c:

Glaives, were going to be called at first the "Jagged circles, or stars" But glaives was given due to..... Well, it killed a soldier named glaive in the past.... and Warglaives are.... What idillidan have.... REMEMBER BT!!!

these are actually called chakrams a glaive is the long pole sword that monks always use in kung-fu movies and games. but its a very common misconception!
