Hi! Beautiful ship. Is it safe for someone with no x4 modding experience to tweak the ship parameters? Mainly to bring down the amount of S storage and M turrets, because atm, it just seems to outstat the asgard/erlking too much. If so, what parameters would you say it is safe to edit? Thanks for the mod!

So I disabled this (and the Tiger and Agamemnon), reloaded without, saved, exited, enabled, exited, loaded, saved, loaded (just to be sure) and the Tiger and Agamemnon's got built by those who should but the Leviathan did not. Could be Argons don't have that many resources, not sure. (Did note that the Agamenon was wandering a lot around, even up to Hatikva's Choice I and back down, Tiger stays on place).

So to sum it up, if you don't get these ships disable and re-enabling the mods may work. Just remember to do the right steps: save, disable mod(s), exit, load game, save, enable mod(s), exit, load game though I like to do an extra save game then load game as well.) Not sure why this needs to be done in v7.x as last I played in v5.x it worked out of the box on starting new games.

For some reason this ship doesn't show up on 7.1 for me. Always used to. New game start, the scientist one.

The only thing I don't like about it is that singular rear engine, the star wars nerd in me wishes for 3, plus it really sucks when it gets shot out. It's hard to pass up this ship though.

I had a problem come up recently.
I tried to enter the ship while in space suit and hit an invisible wall near the docking port. Could not enter the ship that way.
Had to enter throught the docked unmanned ships I had left there.

NOW FULLY COMPATIBLE WITH X4:FOUNDATIONS 6.0

-UPDATED COLLISION MESH FILES. Fully compatible with new Jolt engine.

Landing pads are no longer obstructed by outdated collision files.
Ship can now take proper shield and hull damage from shots that hit the main body of the ship.

I know this update took a while, thanks everyone for your patience. Please spread the word that these ships are now compatible again with people you think you might enjoy them again!

COMPATIBILITY UPDATE FOR 6.00.

-Added 'Standard' tag to Engines
-Added 'Standard' tag to XL and M Shields
-Added 'Standard' and 'Combat' tags to M and L Turrets.

COLLISION MESHES ARE STILL BROKEN, COLLISIONS MAY BE UNPREDICTABLE.

Landing pads will probably be inaccessible when in-sector. You can probably get AI ships to land if you give them the order and then fly out of sector.
Teleportation will be needed to enter the ships, unless you use your spacesuit.
Until the developers release their tools to help us create proper collision meshes for the new physics engine, these problems will persist. There is currently no announced date for when these tools will be available. As always, run mods at your own risk.

hey hello i dont know if its very hard to do but is there a way to not have the frontal weapons but like add a set of L turrets your ship is very nice but well in my opinion in the game there is not really a good turret only battleship nearly all of em have frontal guns i think that kinda strange knowing the agility od those XL bricks. ty for the answer your ship is nice its not a critic of any sort

From what I understand the weapon tags are the only issue with your ship.

I haven't seen any hitboxes or landing pad issues and I've been using it as my flagship for the month since I checked this post. I also still have several in my game since joining the beta. The ships work 100% fine, however if they go in for refit at all, everything except thrusters gets removed. I'm starting to run out of them in a big Xenon push im making which is why I've come back to check this :)


I'm not a modder but from what Ive read I believe the equipment slots for your ship need "Standard" and "Combat" tags added for components. Lots of ships including the Erklhing had the issue. I was just looking into figuring out how to edit it myself. If you are able to fix it that would be sweet. Destroyers just dont have the same oof.

CURRENTLY INCOMPATIBLE WITH 6.00 BETA. ENGINES AND SHIELDS WILL NOT APPEAR, HITBOXES WILL NOT BE ACCURATE AND MAY BLOCK LANDING PADS. Currently waiting on the developers to tell us how to resolve collision mesh issues. Run with the 6.00 beta at your own risk. Back up your save games.

Problems with equipment slots in 6.0 beta, similar to how the mining ships could not have turrets mounted. Lev cannot mount engines or anything that isnt a missile turret.

awesome ship! Sadly the VRO included Version is some kind of "castrated" with only half of the turrets etc. Because of bad maneuverability mostly only 2 Turrets can fire at a target. That makes it a bad Battleship in VRO. May i ask for a "full" VRO Version in the future? :-)

Argon_Matt Yes, sorry, my fault. I transferred files from the Steam version to another 8) and I packed the files incorrectly. Yes, everything works great! And it also turned out that the same files are on the nexus and you don’t need to transfer them from Steam at all. xD

@anime-foreva I'm running Tides of Avarice with these exact steam files and the Leviathan is available for me in the Argon shipyard in Argon Prime. Make sure the mod is enabled in your extensions menu if you forgot to check.

Argon Matt's Argon Leviathan doesn't seem to work in X4: Tides of Avarice like the other 2, they just aren't in the shipyards.

It is a good ship I'm certainly enjoying it, weak still against a single Xenon unless it has torpedo wing-mans ready to fly out... if that so, then 3 Xenons gone in a single strike before they get too close. The small issues are L turrets positioning, when firing ahead the back turrets hit the front turrets and the landing bay area as a walking issue but hey. I'm loving it.

This ship is one of my favorites and I almost made it my Flag Ship. THIS SHIP ROCKS !! I love the view from the Bridge as you can see the other ships that are dock. The only problem I have with it is that it does NOT YET Support the More Rooms Mod. Once the next update of this ship is available this will be the Flag ship to my empire.

@Argon_Matt That's probably it. I've noticed this behavior before with some terran asgards/tokyos but they usually move on pretty quickly. I guess this one's just not doing that yet.

@McBeer89 Yeah, the reason why the ship is so slow is because it uses 6 main batteries. If it could turn any faster it would be crazy OP. The ship ideally has to use 6 otherwise it would be inconsistent with the 3D model and by the time I got to balancing the ship, the model was already done. Looking back I would probably reduce the main batteries to something like 4, meaning the ship could be balanced more reasonably in other areas.

@Harris are you using any other mods that might add battleship patrols? (maybe something like the ship variation expansion?) The Leviathan uses the battleship tag, so any other mod that adds jobs using the battleship tag, the Leviathan will be a candidate for.

I noticed in the description that this is meant to be patrolling Argon space, but in my game it spawned in Savage Spur II and has been floating around there for the past few hours. It either never had an escort fleet or it died instantly, since all I see is that ship. Is there any way to make it actually go do it's job? The Argon are slowly getting wiped out and they could really use it.

with 6 front guns... idk how balanced id say this ship is considering you can buy one for cheaper than an asgard (if you could buy one). anyone else any any input? 40 something million for this massive ship is not a lot. granted it's slow af.

I am glad I read the fine print about the VRO variant being called the Corona. Saved me a ton of time. Sick ship though. I'll upvote this mod even if I downloaded it via VRO.

@cale The loadouts are defined / randomised by the game itself, however modders can specify how heavily a ship is equipped (like how many weapons in a weapon group are populated) via a loadout number. The Leviathan uses 0.7 for most. (0 being nothing, 1 being all slots populated)

Nice ship, I am curious how the AI decides how to equip the ship.

First of all great work but one thing I noticed If I install all M shields then the average group shield will drop is that already known

Do you have create new HOP and xenons jobs against the argons ? I want to say to compensate and avoid an even more disbalanced situation than the current one ?

@Lux Imperia Yes, the Argon AI will patrol a Leviathan around Argon Prime with the Colossus (spawns instantly on new game), as well as adding patrol battleships in Argon space. (very few though) A Leviathan requires 18,000 hull parts to build though, so it may take a while for their economy to stockpile enough resources to build.
