miku567 25 Aug, 2023 @ 12:52pm
1.4.4.9 update when?
Prometheus 14 Jul, 2023 @ 12:36am
hey - has any progress been made on the mod?
artlife7690  [author] 2 May, 2023 @ 3:37am
Oh, I actually forgot those existed.. Thanks for telling me.
DistractedGoldfish 1 May, 2023 @ 9:03pm
Maybe I missed it, but does this add a renewable way to get sandstone or hardened sand?
Prometheus 23 Mar, 2023 @ 6:40pm
aight. thanks, dude!
artlife7690  [author] 23 Mar, 2023 @ 11:46am
Yeah, it'll be an option, and there will be a way to perform such method naturally. I've got a handful of other projects that I need to get through, but, since this is something you're eager, for, I'll consider putting this near the top of the list of priorities.
Prometheus 23 Mar, 2023 @ 9:52am
yea. those sliders used to be there, but vanished at some point - anyway, you know when you're gonna update this mod to have the old method of scavenging? i wouldn't mind it just being a toggle in the config or smth tbh (on = destroy to scavenge, off = rclick to scavenge), i just want the old method back in some way
artlife7690  [author] 23 Mar, 2023 @ 12:32am
It's pretty strange that, after all this time, I didn't notice this. I guess I don't go into the config much, because I've been completely oblivious to the fact that there are no sliders for a lot of the scavenging loot.
Prometheus 21 Mar, 2023 @ 7:10pm
...except fruit. Those sliders still exist... for some reason.
Prometheus 21 Mar, 2023 @ 7:09pm
Yea there's no drop rate sliders for anything anymore. Guessing that's a bug, not a feature.
artlife7690  [author] 17 Mar, 2023 @ 7:40am
Oh, there is no slider for that? Huh. I'll have to fix this.
Prometheus 17 Mar, 2023 @ 7:05am
i didnt mean vines as in the plant tile i meant like the drop rate for the vine item. yknow, the one that you normally only get from that one enemy in the jungle which is annoying to deal with.
artlife7690  [author] 15 Mar, 2023 @ 12:17pm
Vines.. Hm. I'll have to think about how I'm going to go about that, since they don't function like most other plant tiles.
artlife7690  [author] 15 Mar, 2023 @ 12:16pm
Yeah, I think I want that again too, since it's more convenient than manually RightClicking plants. I have a re-write of the Scavenge mechanic planned, so, hopefully, I can implement it in an optimal way.
Prometheus 19 Feb, 2023 @ 12:35am
also bring back the drop rate sliders for shit like vines
Prometheus 19 Feb, 2023 @ 12:35am
add a fucking toggle in settings to go back to the old "break to get" thing i don't want to get RSI just to get vines for fuck's sake why did you change this it's so fucking bad
artlife7690  [author] 17 Oct, 2022 @ 11:43am
Thanks, and yeah, that's a good idea. I'll have to keep that in mind for a future update.
Wrekter 17 Oct, 2022 @ 11:29am
Hello, just caught up your mod and I kind of like it. I don't use it that much in my playthroughs, but it is a mode that I will keep in mind when I'll start possibly on skyblock or similar. May I ask if there's a way to make the feature you've removed (breaking plants for obtaining, not right clicking every tile of grass) through an early-midgame item that may be crafted/ collected? I do get it might be too easy, but it's also too tedious to keep right clicking every tile existent. Thanks for the mod and keep it up!
artlife7690  [author] 29 Aug, 2022 @ 5:54pm
Oh, you're right. I never added a recipe for Fireblossoms. I'll have to do that in this next update
Tahu810 9 Aug, 2022 @ 3:34am
i think it's v0.8.5.5
Tahu810 9 Aug, 2022 @ 3:26am
not sure which version i'm on but it is missing the recipe for firebloom
artlife7690  [author] 2 Aug, 2022 @ 12:28pm
Yeah, I reverted it back to RightClicking in v0.8.6. Breaking plants is just too easy for obtaining materials from plants.
Xiarno 24 Jul, 2022 @ 6:48am
Also in the latest patch note you mention that now you just need to break the tile/plants to scavenge instead of right click, but it's still right click for me.
BrokenStrumbar 4 Jun, 2022 @ 6:25am
that's fine, take as long as you need to
artlife7690  [author] 3 Jun, 2022 @ 10:58am
Development is on hold right now. I've been busy lately, and won't have the free time to work on stuff for at least 3 (or more) days.
BrokenStrumbar 3 Jun, 2022 @ 6:14am
any updates?
Goose 30 May, 2022 @ 9:01am
Great mod, i enjoy the way items are less difficult to get, but chests are opening and closing rapidly, and i have difficulties accessing stuff, and i hope you could fix this, Great mod tho :)

Request: Respawning shells in oceans and on beaches. To give the vibe that they're being brought in occasionally by the tide.

Request 2: Tides in Oceans. At high tide, the oceans will get filled with X water - randomized a little bit for more realism. At low tide, drain from the bottom X+/-random water. There should also be a constant based on the initial volume of the oceans - to keep the randomness variation within reason. Next, automatically refill the oceans with exactly what is extracted from them through buckets or other by-hand means. Finally: if ocean level drops dramatically (draining the ocean into the underworld), it will occasionally attempt to refill - filling up back to normal if the drain is plugged.

I really want oceans to feel like more than lakes...
xkoltyr 3 May, 2022 @ 11:19am
this mod is causing chest doors and other interactables to go spastic when you right click them i checked all my mods and this by itself it only happened with this mod. hope you can fix it this is a nice mod.
artlife7690  [author] 2 May, 2022 @ 3:44pm
Ahh.. It seems Renewability also broke from the May update of tModLoader. Thank you for pointing that out. I'll get a fix out as soon as possible.
BrokenStrumbar 2 May, 2022 @ 8:24am
Hey, so it seems like the scavenging mechanic doesn't work. I try right clicking on grass or flowers or plants in general but it doesn't work, your character just freezes. Am i supposed to hold the button? Because that didn't work either.
Unlighted 17 Apr, 2022 @ 7:51am
I'll look at that
artlife7690  [author] 13 Apr, 2022 @ 10:00pm
Thanks for letting me know. That's a lot to consider. (Sorry for the late response, by the way. I'd forgotten that you posted that comment, and just remembered today.)

So, the to-do list so far:
-Water/Lava recipes.
-Ore recipes.
-Dungeon block recipes.
-Addition of Dynasty Wood into the "Wood" recipe group.

As for the "tips" idea.. Hm, maybe. But as for now, if you're having trouble finding recipes, I'd recommend Jopojelly's Recipe Browser mod: https://steamhost.cn/steamcommunity_com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2619954303

I think I'm missing some elements :

I can get lava from lava slimes in the underworld. (I have to get a fishing pole somehow though). I can get lava critters with the lavaproof bug net (I have to get Hellstone bars though). I can get water from wet bombs (I can't get honey with this, but I can with honey blocks after). I can get lives from fishing in normal water then, with golden crates.

I don't have naturally generated dungeon blocks, so I cannot get either the clothier or the mecanic (Maybe the recipe is already there?)

I didn't know Dynasty wood didn't count for "any wood" recipes. The only way I know to get wood (which is enough), is to be in hardmode in december, and kill enemies of the frost legion, and then plant acorns from the Dryad on them. I have no idea if it allows me to have dirt, stone, slush, or sand though. If I can have sand or water, I can get the angler.

Is there any way to see the recipes or is it possible to have some tips on some important ones?
artlife7690  [author] 8 Apr, 2022 @ 1:14pm
Most likely, since a multitude of different resources can be combined. But if there's anything that seems off, let me know, and I'll make sure to include whatever integral aspect is missing.
Unlighted 8 Apr, 2022 @ 5:31am
I'm currently trying to find a combination of mods to use with the mod One Skyblock Challenge, configured to only give ONE building block (I'd like this block to be crystal block), and the rest of the map completely empty.

Does your mod allow me to obtain almost all items in the game out of this empty world?
CorpPunishmentKK MkII 19 Mar, 2022 @ 6:01am
@CubeGamer647 I think you'll find that TMod ain't in 1.4 yet
Lyric Drake 591 26 Feb, 2022 @ 9:49am
@CubeGamer647
Yes, those are all semi renewable IN 1.4! TMOD IS NOT IN 1.4!
artlife7690  [author] 20 Feb, 2022 @ 4:57pm
The point is that you shouldn't require such sophisticated technology in order to reproduce materials, CubeGamer647. I'd prefer more natural, traditional methods over shooting a sand gun and throwing dirt bombs.
Cube 20 Feb, 2022 @ 3:54pm
@Lyric Drake 591 @artlife7690 dirt can be recreated with the dirt bomb, hay and be created from tall grass, stone is renewable by gem trees, and sand can be recreated with ammo buffs and the sandgun
Lyric Drake 591 20 Feb, 2022 @ 2:57pm
awe.. ok
artlife7690  [author] 20 Feb, 2022 @ 2:27pm
Oh, no, there's no Life Fruit recipe anymore. If you'd like to craft them, I'd recommend the Dynamic Stats mod.

Nearly all types of Fruits are craftable, even the Crimson/Corruption fruits. This mod encompasses many things. From vegetation and Earthen Materials to Fabrics, Weapons, Tools and Workstations. Overall, it's not only a compliment to the concept Renewability, but a Quality of Life project. I don't believe you will be disappointed by many of the things it does.
Lyric Drake 591 20 Feb, 2022 @ 1:47pm
@artlife7690: Exactly! Again, the chance of, for example, using all the dirt or sand or stone in a large world for example just playing through is slim, but it is possible.
Also, one question for you art. What is the recipe for the Life Fruit? I hate finding them, but I would like to know the recipe before I try the mod.
artlife7690  [author] 20 Feb, 2022 @ 7:37am
Just like Lyric Drake 591 said, there is only so much in each world, CubeGamer647. Just because there is much of something, doesn't mean it is "renewable". The entire concept of "Renewability" stands for the idea that something can be reproduced again and again.
artlife7690  [author] 20 Feb, 2022 @ 7:34am
No, I didn't make the game, Velbar. "Author" means that I am the owner of this project, not Terraria or tModLoader itself.
Lyric Drake 591 19 Feb, 2022 @ 5:52pm
@CubeGamer647: Not entirely, while there is doubtlessly a lot in each world, scaling up with each size, it is limited per world. It's nigh impossible to use it all, but it is possible.
