LMAO my brain wasn't working yesterday @The Milf Sniper. William Devaughn Be thankful for what you got is what I was talking about. Curtis Mayfield didn't do that song I correctly listed it in coming soon a few days ago. To my knowledge Curtis Mayfield never did a song called Diamond in the back-all the same Curtis Mayfield is on deck for next update . I have no idea what I'm doing or how many songs I can add LMAO

@The Milf Sniper-I had some Curtis Mayfield on deck LMAO I found a really good version of Diamond in the back- I got a lot on deck. I also want to play the game too xD I got help today to upload new music correctly, still have to convert the music though it should go quicker. I work on them depending on subs so this one I'll either update again tonight or tomorrow. I took a nap and was going to post coming soon playlist to be added.

Curtis Mayfield seems like a giant figure worth exploring from this era, also Ana Peebles - I can't stand the rain, which is a somewhat overlooked hit from then, and shares a lot of DNA with Al Green's 70's output.

I'm not really a Anita Baker fan so I can't really speak on her. I just added the song because I love the drums :D

Hey, your mom had great taste in music. I used to think the same thing with my parents.
Now that I am older and you hear today's music... I have more and more appreciation for these artists.

Suggestion: Heatwave Always and Forever, a lot of Earth, Wind and Fire, Ohio Players, LaBelle (I'm from Philly, LaBelle is definitely on the list) and Teddy P.

Thanks again for this great playlist, this brings me back to my childhood growing up on Philadelphia.

This whole playlist is a tribute to my mom. When I was a kid, I thought this music my mom played sucked and was "old people music" As I got older and became a musician, I realized my mom knew all the bops back in the day. She loved it when I told her she had great taste in music and that when I got older I appreciated her influence. My mom gave me the gift of loving music and though she has passed, it's a gift that still keeps on giving. Thanks mom <3

The song "I'm So Tired of Being Alone" sung by Al Green was most famously used in the 1995 movie Dead Presidents. The scene featured Actor Chris Tucker whose house was about to be raided by police for his part in a armored truck robbery, sitting in front of a tv while Al Green was performing the song on Soul Train. As the police gained entry, they realized that Skip (Chris Tucker) had died from an overdose.
