I would love to see a syringe gun with tranquilizers. Slowing a target seems overpowered but inducing a visual effect that makes it hard to navigate would be a lot of fun. I imagine a weak effect lasting 3-5 seconds that is only effective when you get more than 5 hits in a short time.
I would have the alt-fire heavy tranqilizer drain 5-10% uber or be unuseable more than once every 10-15 seconds. It would however be able to slow enemies and do damage over time. The premise and usefullness of this weapon would be for covering your retreat rather than offense/damage

Before I give you my opinion for the stats, I want to point out that the Medic already has a hat called "The Second Opinion," so how about renaming it? Something like, "The Trainee's Tranquilizer," or whatever.

Potential Stats:

Pros:

Enemies hit by a rapid-fire shot move 10% more slowly; enemies hit by a jumbo shot are stunned for 3 seconds.

+25 Health
+20% Bullet resistance

Cons:

-50% Projectile Speed (Jumbo Shot Only)
-20% Damage

Medics using this cannot regain health from friendly Medics and Dispensers, and gain 50% less health from Health Pickups.

It maybe a little OP due to the fact that a weapon could change damage from syringe gun to the crusader's crossbow. Maybe It should charge up like the sticky bomb launcher, and then at max power, it launches the giant syringe, and during charging, the gun starts to morph into the giant syringe launcher, but if it's released early, it goes back [2 second delay]

hmm I like the idea mostly because when your heal target die's now you have a better way to defend yourself plus the combat medic's could use a new primary
