Yes if you change the turn count in the startpos or save game it will be. There may be other unintended issues that I'm not thinking of besides the seasons. It should work though.
Frank Nihil 10 hours ago
If I just change the turns, and keep the seasonal effects turns. It still 24 turns per year?
fourstrider  [author] 22 hours ago
The easiest way is to save the game on turn 1 then download editsf and edit that save file to 24 turns. You should be able to find instructions online. The way to do it so all of your new games are 24 turns is to get pack file manager and extract the startpos file from my main mod, edit it with editsf the same way you edit a save file. Upload it back to the main mod and save the mod with a different name so my updates don't revert it back to 12 turns. Keep in mind that if you do that, the seasonal effects from my mod will still be acting like it's 12 turns. You'd have to edit the script to change that, which isn't as hard as it sounds.

I love to play this 24 turns per year. how can i do that?
Castian 17 Jul @ 7:15am
Almost love the mod, I can surely say it's amongst the best overhauls, plus the add-ons, it's a completely new and amazing way to play, however, I cannot stand the magical units, for any faction, if there would be a way to shut them down or be an optional addon to remove them, it'll be perfect.

Also I managed to overcome the economy, but I have to say I did not enjoyed the increasing "power tax", it's not only confusing, but outright diminishes planning and moving slowly, in one turn you have a good economy, next turn a -6000 gold and -11 food for no reason and forces you to go and conquer land only to stop inflation, a few years of reworking and repeat again.

Having said that, loved the cards, family system rework, new tier and coloring for units, loved the idea of unique legendary units, but hated the magical purle nuke guys, also loved the new visuals, UI, sounds and music.

I would load the sound fix last, other than that it doesn't matter.
Pioter 2 Jun @ 5:15am
Is there a specific load order to the Main mod and Addons? Or will the build in TotalWar mod loader sort them correctly?
fourstrider  [author] 1 Jun @ 12:49pm
The tech tree wouldn't be possible without significant work. The quests would take less work but not something I think I would do. Other people are welcome to make it.
attiladuran123 1 Jun @ 10:41am
Is it possible to make the Quest and the Tech tree as Standalone mods ?
Gestalt 27 May @ 10:56am
Thanks for the clarification!
fourstrider  [author] 27 May @ 9:30am
When I say not compatible, it doesn't look like anything in there will break the game and make it not load however some of the stuff I'm seeing will either break the balance I set for the game or just break the immersion and look completely out of place. I think you might get some of the old general portraits pop up and some of the units stats will change.
fourstrider  [author] 27 May @ 9:19am
Yeah that mod wouldn't be compatible. A lot of what it fixes has either been fix in my mod or is not applicable because of the changes I've made. It looks like he's linked all the individual changes so if there's something specific you wanted to change and still play my overhaul then I'd just select those things individually otherwise you'll have a lot of mod conflict doing this entire thing.
Gestalt 27 May @ 9:18am
In this reddit post, there are also a bunch more. If you would like to take a look at these as well; here is the link:

I'll take a look at it later today and see what they're doing. I fixed a lot of vanilla bugs in the overhaul. If I missed anything from this I'll just update it on my mod.
Zeizei Pumpum 26 May @ 7:48pm
maybe a dumb question but Radious comp?
fourstrider  [author] 10 May @ 7:44pm
All you can really get from the cheat sheet is the province it's in. From there you just use the clue.
revv 10 May @ 12:47pm
ive seen the quest cheatsheet but don't know what to do with it. for instance, "-4.0, -154.2, 2, "Mikawa_Area" "The best view of Mikawa bay."
fourstrider  [author] 9 May @ 12:16pm
@Bodhi, sorry I missed this question. Try to exit the region and enter again, it should be along the river going through the province. Make sure you're using the same agent that has the quest trait.
fourstrider  [author] 9 May @ 12:15pm
You can probably load SOTS first and get it to work together. I have balanced the tower abilities on vanilla castles, which are very strong in my mod. Depending on which towers he uses on each castle, you could end up with an OP advantage early in the game or nerfed advantage late game.
revv 9 May @ 12:05pm
this work with SoTS?
Bodhi 1 Apr @ 6:24pm
Hi! Where is "I fish on the river, wedged between a meadow and a mountain, fortune at last." ? I've run all around North Shinano, which I assumed was the answer but I can't find the exact spot.
fourstrider  [author] 30 Mar @ 2:09pm
Yes this is normal. My advice is to lower your taxes and focus on growth. Your starting army should be 6-8 units for a while. Try to take 2-3 castles with your small army then beef up defenses and focus on growth.
Nomadic Guy 30 Mar @ 12:45pm
Hello, may I ask but is it normal to have so low income in early game? I barely able to fill an ashigaru army and almost has no income unless try raise tax.
Mr. Tarzan 31 Jan @ 5:03am
You're a saint. Thank you for replying so quickly. I don't know why I didn't think of that already.
fourstrider  [author] 30 Jan @ 8:47am
It's been a long time since I modded those tables. If I remember right, you're correct, you can't delete them. There is a table that assigns them to different campaigns. I think I just assigned all the base techs to the fall of the samurai campaign then I was able to start fresh.
Mr. Tarzan 30 Jan @ 8:01am
Hi, I hope you can help me. I was wondering how you have managed to edit the tech trees, and removed existing node links? As far I as can tell, it's not possible to datacore tables in Shogun 2 the same way as with newer Total War titles. But perhaps there's a way you have found?
fourstrider  [author] 29 Jan @ 7:54am
I'm glad you enjoy them! I don't mind anyone editing my mods and re-uploadeding. Use however you want.
Mauler34 28 Jan @ 4:28pm
One of the best overhaul mods imo and I have over 1000 hours in this game lol
Also appreciate the submods being able to be integrated into other mods - been using the promotion system, music, retainers, & portraits in almost all my others play-throughs.. can't even play the base game without your Zen mod anymore, the gong is too much lmao

Finally figured out how to upload mods to steam, have been playing with a couple submods I made on my own and was wondering if you'd be cool with me uploading them? I seen your note about integrating stuff (also thanks for demonstrating how to minimize agent & navy spam) but figure I'd ask since they'd be direct submods (no projectile trails, Promotion system scaled to 4TPY and 24TPY for use in other mods/campaigns).
fourstrider  [author] 18 Jan @ 10:05am
For those quests you'll need to send your agent to the correct spot, not your general. Try the north side of the same river.
ZeGodHand 18 Jan @ 5:29am
How to I trigger the quest thinng. Am playing Chosokabe and trying to find the source of water. I asume it was at below Iyo and sent my general there, but nothing happend
CloakTheMailman 8 Jan @ 2:49am
Ohhh gotcha thanks
fourstrider  [author] 7 Jan @ 9:33pm
Yes it has all the matchlock abilities but they're only on certain traits. The best way to learn them is to have your general at one of the provinces with the gunpowder building chain.
CloakTheMailman 7 Jan @ 9:27pm
Oh yeah does this mod also have kneel fire tech and increased matchlock range?
CloakTheMailman 5 Jan @ 7:46am
Ahhh damn
fourstrider  [author] 3 Jan @ 9:00am
No, sorry this won't work with expanded japan. This overhaul, even though it has less provinces, will most likely take longer to beat than expanded japan if you're looking for longer campaigns.
CloakTheMailman 3 Jan @ 1:39am
Could this work with expanded Japan?
fourstrider  [author] 22 Dec, 2024 @ 7:29pm
No if it says +1 growth from power or +1 growth from culture or +1 growth from happiness then it's just +1 to growth. It's just telling you why you're getting the growth.
VADELINOZ 22 Dec, 2024 @ 1:45pm
One last thing, what is the meaning 1 growth from Power that the Clan Estate give. Does that mean it gives additional power like the Power we get from conquering provinces?
VADELINOZ 22 Dec, 2024 @ 10:41am
Thanks for the tips, I will try those.
fourstrider  [author] 22 Dec, 2024 @ 10:25am
Market > Temple > Mint > Doshin residence, > sake den. I think all 5 of those will help economically. Your roads I think increase growth so upgrading those. There's also tech skills and general skills that help a lot.
VADELINOZ 22 Dec, 2024 @ 10:03am
Ah I see, I kept my expansion like a Mongol Empire. My Ashigaru worth like a Samurai while I didn't know anything about the growth. So the Power effects the army more than inflation then. Any tips on which building I need to build a growth?
fourstrider  [author] 22 Dec, 2024 @ 9:33am
Growth is the most valuable economoc stat. Keep your taxes as low as you can at all times unless emergency. Keep your eye out for growth bonus. Upkeep is more tied to expansion than inflation. You should be good to get 4-5 provinces at the beginning if you're good enough but then you'll need to stop and defend those for a long time as your growth builds your money per turn then start expanding again. If you keep expanding too fast you will run out of money and not be able to afford an army.
VADELINOZ 22 Dec, 2024 @ 8:49am
Oh, I didn't know about the effect of growth. How to use these growth mechanics? I still learning about this mod and its been so much fun.
fourstrider  [author] 22 Dec, 2024 @ 7:44am
AI does get inflation but not as severe. They do tend fall apart easy when they get too big until late game then they can conquer the whole thing. Inflation has no cap but you can outpace inflation with growth. It's very hard for the AI to rebel since rebel castles are too easy to take. The influence mechanics are to make it harder for the player.
VADELINOZ 21 Dec, 2024 @ 7:57pm
Does the AI also got the inflation? And is there a maximum cap for the Inflation? Also why the AI didn't get any rebellion from the influence?
GAMER01 2 Dec, 2024 @ 10:31pm
Look forward to seeing whats next mate. :KneelingBow:
fourstrider  [author] 2 Dec, 2024 @ 9:38am
Thanks, I'm glad you like it! I'm working on adding more depth but with my schedule I can only mod a few hours a week so it'll be a while but I have some more cool stuff on the way.
GAMER01 2 Dec, 2024 @ 3:45am
Came back for another game after playing FOTS and I have to say that this collection of mods is awesome.
