@nhatanh0475: Telemetry IS harmful. It is collection of your private data that they like to hide inside the TOS so when you sue for theft of private data or whatever they can point to the TOS says you agreed to send them everything including the time you go to bathroom (/s)

Telemetry is a massive privacy concern and anyone who is concerned with the telemetry is actually a very smart person.

Just because they forced everyone into telemetry so they can play the game doesn't mean we have to accept it. We as consumers need to push back and encourage them to use OPT IN telemetry.

Had CO put the telemetry as optional instead of forcing it on everyone by means of TOS I am sure this kerfuffle with Chaos would not even exist.

I messed up. I installed the old one, and saved my game. Then realized it was succeeded by mods already installed so I unsubbed and removed. Then my save stopped loading but content manager shows that mod missing.

Question: Can I unsub it, sub to this, and my save game will still load? Or I specifically have to install the obsoleted one to be able to play my save? Thanks for updating this mod :)

Funny how Chaos and Holy Water said these Telemetry is harmful and they have keylogger. Well the more they said, the more red flag over their head.

I usually block it all through my Untangle Unified Threat Management firewall OS and Pi-Hole, but I will still use this just in case something does get past both of those devices.

@Duke Skyloafer: this would only disable the game's own telemetry, not that of the Steam client, nor the communication between the game and the Steam client.

@Duke Skyloafer I believe they go through a separate channel, as they're sent to steam, not paradox, so this mod shouldn't interfere with them. However, the game auto-disables achievements as soon as any mod is detected, so you'll still need a mod like e.g. Keallu's Achieve It!
