This mod isn't compatible with doudley's Brother-in-Arms mod and will crash on startup if they are both installed. Not his Warbound mod, but the regular BiA mod that allows you to have NPC pets.

I have no idea why this mod is even fucking around with pets, this is a class mod. But the mod order also doesn't matter in regards to both of the mods in question. Game will crash anyway.

Just in case anyone was having the issue I was having.

Another thing i just found out is one of his abilities being completely broken.The one he starts with. After investing 5 points in it, the damage calculation goes completely nuts. Since level 12 I believe, I think i dealt like 1,5k damage per use without charges being used. Also the tier 1 upgrade for this ability doesn't work at all when charges are being used...

For anyone who needs to know: If Skills need more Damage then invest heavy Strength for Dps Skills and heavy Focus for non_Dps Skills. If a Skill doesn't work on the Target Dummy then try targeting an actual enemy. Darkthan Classes do run slower.

Can anyone explain how Blackguard's ability "Avatar of Fire" works? I used it on a dummy and nothing really seems to change...

I had a Hunter character that I got up to three levels then it crashed the game.
I couldn't delete the character in the game because it kept crashing.
I had to delete the character file that was in the save game folder

Whenever I try to create a Monk the game crashes. Anyone know a fix?

Hi! I think there is a bug with Monk, the arc skill. It doesnt show; i cant put it in my skill bar, it doesnt show at all. Like it doesnt exist. I have try it with and without other mods and it give the same results.

Thank you so much for your hard work what a great mod! Quick question though, is it just me or do these classes seem like they run slower? I'm also getting potentially -subjective bias- lower drops?

@Darkthan9800 Hey man, just getting back to your mod, excellent as always! I just have a small question - is there a guide for any of your classes? I'm around level 20 and I feel like I'm not doing any damage with skills like Ground Slam for example

@Darkthan9800 I recently started playing TL2 and installed this mod becuase the classes looked fun, and so far they are! But I seem to have found a bug on the Templar. The skill Angelic Assistance does nothing when cast except make a light come from the sky as well as the skill can not be refunded any points spent into it. I also use Synergies and have tried 3 other "Respec" mods to fix this to no avail. Thanks!

Excuse me, i want to ask, can you please upload BlackGuard and Templar as standalone character Mods? Because Darkthan Pack 1 conflicts with another Druid Mod is use.
Blackguard and Templar are the best chars for me, can you please upload them as a single download?

@The Graxx Dethcube, several skills won't work. Depending on what mod is above the other, the bottom most of the two mods will have skill issues. It is not fixable. I would recommend testing out one at a time to see which mod you like better, and then using only that mod.

Just wanted to say that your classes are leagues above most others. Their abilities feel meaty and impactful. Great work. Especially big thank you for the Witch Doctor and Druid classes.

@kernalkrackerz, thanks man! I also have a second mod (Darkthan's Classes 2) that incorporates improved classes based on the ones in this version, I bet you'll enjoy it! If you like cyclone, I'm sure you'll like the Shaman class, it is all about overwhelming strength and crushing your enemies. The second mod also uses a lot of path of exile skills!

@eldarien, I'm sorry, but I just don't have the time to make an entire class at the moment, or any pets that you might want. I'm just going to stick with a Mastery that has the bat missile skill if that's alright with you. I'm a busy college student now haha.

About the earthquake part of your comment... I'm coming out with a new Mastery that has an earthquake-like skill, the Mastery's name is the Duelist. He can call down Avalanches that deal damage in an area around the caster as he stomps the ground, he can leap into the air and come crashing down on his opponents, and perform a war-cry that fears foes and causes them to explode on death.

Plus, I have a literal class called the Shaman in my Darkthan's Classes 2 mod that has an earthquake skill, hopefully these two things will sate your desires for an earthquake skill! :)

Ou! Great you wrote back. Sure, I'll be really glad. You know, I really tried to make a new class just for me, but It didn't work. Tried it four times. All I really want is, make a Viking class with a berserker man, have an earthquake(lv. 20) in skill tree and bat missile(lv. 5), and as a pet to have a Deathflinger(that first one with a throwing and piercing spears). But I'm not skilled to make MODs in games. I'm a pro-musician, not IT/game expert, like you. So what U say? I would pay for mod like that one I described though. Best regards

@eldarien, I'm sorry but I don't have an older version of this mod anymore... BUT, I can for sure make a new Mastery in my Mastery mod that has the bat missile spell that you want! With the Mastery mod, you can use the bat missile spell in whatever class you're playing!

@JustFresh, I'm no longer actively working on this mod, but yeah the wolves from the druid are really undertuned. You should check out Darkthan's Classes 2, it's a much better mod with classes that will feel similar, but better and more fleshed out than the ones presented on this mod. If you do make the switch, you can only have one active in your load order, they will cause bugs if used together. The wolves not having that much health bug might be the last thing I fix about this mod, thanks for bringing you concerns to my attention :)

@Richyread, right haha! You could definitely tweak it using GUTS, once you open up the editor, there should be a tab at the top of the screen called data editors, if you click it a drop-down menu should open up showing a list of different things you can edit. You're going to want to hover your mouse over "units," then pick "player" from the sidebar that appears. Once the new window opens, you're going to want to go through each of my classes, the base, male, and female ones, and change the "running" speed. I hope this helps!

Just a heads up, hopefully you're not using Darkthan's Classes 1 and 2 together, that would cause a LOT of problems in game. Darkthan's Classes 2 was meant to replace 1, and isn't compatible with it either. I just thought you should know haha

Completely understandable and makes perfect sense - you put all the efforts into compiling the mod afterall so why not play it your way right?! :steammocking:

For my own local play is this something you think I could tweak using GUTS myself?

The Shaman class from your mod also looks very different/interesting - haven't played much yet with this one but the different animal forms integrated with normal attacks is a nice concept and is next on my list of playthroughs!

@Richyread, thanks man! I actually haven't touched this mod in a looong time, and don't plan to sadly... Darkthan's Classes 2 was originally intended to replace this mod, which is why I'm no longer making updates to this one.

The base movement speed reduction was to make the game feel more like Diablo, since their characters don't cross the screen as fast. I liked that feel more than Torchlight's originally, but then decided against it in my new mod Darkthan's Classes 2. A lot of people questioned the choice too, which is another reason why I didn't keep the change in other mods.

Just wanted to swing by and thank you for your work on this - really enjoying playing through again with these classes, especially the Witch Doctor! :steamhappy:

Only small hiccup I have found so far is with the base movement speed; with this initial classes mod activated all classes (including default such as beserker) have their movement speed reduced to 7.5.

Your followup mod(s) don't adjust the movement speed and that remains default (10)

Was this a specific desicision to have these characters slower as a sort of handicap due to their power or is it a bug?

I have a new mod out! It's the Mastery system, similar to POE Ascendancy class system, it adds in mini skill trees that ANY class from ANY mod can use, only active skills though, no passives yet. @Occultist, thanks! The Occultist is the name of the class, the Necromancer is just one skill tree of the Occultist, just fyi. Not that it matters too much anyway.

@Hannibal, actually the only thing that it has in common with the Grim Dawn class is its name haha. The class is coming along very nicely, there are tons of summon skills, skills that require you to use corpses to cast them, curses that do various things to enemies, such as reducing their max health by a percent, etc. I think this is my best class to date!
