If you have the trait it converts it since they are direct opposites. If you don't have the trait though it simply adds it as a new trait.
With the 1.9 update almost every mod should be achievement compatible. I've had this mod in and I've had no issues getting achievements.
I've added the Gardener trait as an option.
I hear you with the descriptions, I know from my own mods that the text weight is huge even for simple things like modifiers and don't get me started on how much is needed for memories with the first, second and third person perspectives
I had planned to add books for pretty much every trait but writing a unique description for every book is quite an undertaking. You can see I made a bit of a start converting bad traits to good and good to bad. I haven't played CK3 for quite a while though so adding more books kind of fell to the wayside.
You make a fair point about the description. However something like the version number is something I consider very important since CK3 has no version tags. So having the version right at the top and eye catching is ideal. However perhaps I should just nix the sentence about it being compatible with future versions. People typically don't use out of date mods anyway.
That seems perfect for your mod, so you could add some education manuals, for example Idiots Guide to Humanities to apply something like Compassion and remove Callous. Or something like Idiots guide to Making Friends to apply Gregarious and remove Shy.
Just a thought.
I suggest on your workshop page you move the version paragraph down to where your language paragraph is.
The reason being that when anyone hovers their mouse over your mod's image in any of the lists on the workshop front page over the image, all they see is your version blurb which is not important and a couple of lines about what your mod actually does, which is the important part.
So if you reorder the paragraphs people will see more of what your mod actually is. Tidy up your shop window
Bruh I've literally never uploaded any mod and have no idea how to do so. If you would like to include my translation in the mod it would be way easier I reckon. As far as I know you just need to place the localisation file I send you under localization folder of your mod, like right next to the "english" folder and that's it. I've sent you a friend request if you don't mind I can DM you the file?
Thank you for taking the time to make a translation. If you tell me how to add the translation then I can. However if you prefer you could simply upload the translation yourself. That way you can easily maintain it without always having to rely on me to update things.
I hadn't thought of those but that might not be a bad idea. It's going to take me quite a while to write flavour text for all of this stuff though.
Have you considered reading books to learn the military qualities of siege, recklessness, or expert of the plains?
Books in general as inventory items is a definite no. It's just far too easy and there's too many. However I could maybe see about adding an option to discover a rare book which acts as an inventory item. I was considering maybe adding some temporary buff books but that remains to be seen. Right now I'd like to add some more trait books.
@PENG
I'm glad you like my mod. I'm afraid translations will come if or when people want to do them.
Perhaps add books that has a small chance to increase education trait or give lifestyle XP?
Good mod otherwise!
While I think I did a reasonable job with the flavor text I'm not entirely pleased with some of them, particularly Cannibal and Witch. I may see about updating them or changing them in the future a bit. I'll also likely add some more books in the future.
Since I enjoy writing I kind of want to do it myself but I'd love to chat, get some feedback and maybe collaborate. Can you ping me on the discord? I use the same username there as I do on steam.
It should I tested them all extensively. Although I should probably add an extra dialogue or toast to tell the player "this happened". I'm new to modding CK3 so it's a bit of a learning experience.
