Well, I added your spotlights to my small ship and now I can't even look at it when the spotlights are on. xD I had to add an event controller to auto on and off those lights.

@Vas I'm not sure honestly, I haven't messed with the glare. I do usually use a lighting mod so I haven't really been bothered by it though either. It's one of them that makes shadows darker and lighting brighter, idk the name though.

Is there a way to remove the glare from these? I mean damn its bright as hell. I think I have a mod that removes it from regular spotlights but these add it back in basically.

They were off for 3 of us in a MP server. It's probably the texture being different - like heavy armour and light armour painted the same look different. Any chance you'd consider making the half blocks the same as light armour, considering light/heavy armour are the only other half blocks out there?

@a.mcbob What graphic setting do u play on? I just tested them on high and they seem fine. The textures aren't the same as vanilla light armor though no, I'm using PaintedMetal_Recolorable for them while armor uses Armor_Light or LightArmor.

@Elachi Didn't check the others, but the one I saw it on last night was the Ceiling Light V4 HB. I tried several different skins and it always came out different. Up close, it looked like the material properties weren't the same, if that even makes sense in this context.

The new blocks are great for adding extra light in places the vanilla blocks don't fit. Just one complaint: they don't paint properly. There's always a slight difference between them and the vanilla blocks around them, leaving an unsightly seam that's visible from quite a distance.

just a thought, but would it be possible for you to make add half blocked Navigation Lights?

@Raynor I will update that soon, I don't know why I didn't include it but the spotlights are further range than the vanilla ones, area light was around 250m-300m, the searchlight was around 1km

@Seyha Thanks mate, I would like to have a master pack once I've covered a majority of items, I have some weapons, thrusters, and power blocks in the works atm. I want to finish those and my survival overhaul for a master pack release :)

@Vas nothing from this pack is from the DLC so that's all good mate, DLC tags are only required if models or textures exclusive to a DLC were used. Everything in this was directly modeled by me and textures are the same as vanilla blocks, the searchlights are not restricted either, within code they're basically interior turrets so there really shouldn't be any issues with anything. Thanks for the concern though, I hope you enjoy the pack :)

The spotlights from Warfare 2 need to have the DLC tag included in their cube block files, otherwise the mod would get taken down from the workshop. This is just a heads up, as it was brought up somewhere and I wanted to give you a notification on that before someone takes action.

Just add;
<DLC>Warfare2</DLC>
to the end of the cube block files related to the search lights from that DLC and you should be fine.

Otherwise, you're effectively giving people DLC for free which is a big nono from Keen. I don't want to see you get in any trouble.

@Phenix85 Fixed it, I think it may have been a change due to them also being airtight on their sides, I will update that with the next update but for now they'll be airtight on the sides also.

Hey I've noticed a problem that the sloped block spotlights aren't airtight, so If I just replace a sloped block with a light, my ship is no longer airtight

Also every other sound loads okay with or without mod just the custom sound

I'm not using any specific sound mod it's just a custom sound that i put in myself but with the light mod loaded my custom sound doesn't load, but without the mod it loads just fine.

@VHS I just tested with 2 different sound mods on and they worked fine, if u could link me the sound mod u are trying to use I can test it and see what the problem could be.

@VHS I'll have a look at it today and see if I can fix it, I did have an issue with sounds when I first released them, it may not have been fully fixed. Have u done any testing to see if it is from this mod? It may be another sound block mod if u have any on.

I discovered a bug where for some reason when the mod is loaded my custom sounds on sound blocks are non existent.

Wasnt sure what to expect since had searchlights in this mod. And thank you for reply Elachi, I really need a brighter rotating one but cant find any mod that touches them :-( They all do spotlights and normal lights but none of these. Guess Ill just have to add some sort of siren so I know when warning lights go off lol

WC doesn't muck with spotlights, only searchlights. The searchlight Multispectral Sensor will likely have no AI with WC. Should still work as a spotlight and controllable "turret" light, and spotlights are just entirely unaffected.

Does this work with weapon core? And do you plan to add rotating lights? Been trying to find brighter rotating lights as vanilla barely visible in my ship.

@Kaedys I still use the vanilla ones in places too. I will be adding 2 more types of nav lights in the near future (akin to the styles u see on boats and planes today), I also plan to add another area light that will be a full 1x1x1 block in size, and at least 1 more type of ceiling light. I would like to make a few modular traffic intersection lights at some point but I think they would be better within a city themed pack.

You betcha, adore this mod, so glad it's still getting attention. The vanilla lighting options are just sooo limited. The new nav lights are awesome, I'd actually fallen back to using the standard vanilla interior lights for my "position lights" and similar blinkers, because I felt they looked better than the flat panels (which are otherwise better for ambient lighting and such), but the new nav lights are awesome for that use-case.

@Kaedys Ok, they should be fine now. I'm glad you noticed it, there was a minor mistake within the build state models also that had to be fixed. I left the light dome there and hide it, I thought it was deleted so I didn't notice it on export hehe. Thanks again mate :)

Believe the build state for some of the new lights is screwed up. Both small grid nav lights show up as a square frame 90-degrees rotated off the light, and the regular-sized (non-Large) V2 large-grid one shows up as a similar small (0.5m) square frame 90 degrees rotated. Looking at the files, all 3 are still set to use `\LightingOptions\LightV2_BS1.mwm` as their build state model, I suspect they were supposed to be `\EDPNavLights\SG_NavLightV1_BS1.mwm`, `\EDPNavLights\SG_NavLightV2_BS1.mwm, and `\EDPNavLights\LG_NavLightV2_BS1.mwm`, respectively.

hey there sorry to bother but there is currently an issue regarding adjusting spotlight range not syncing / saving on servers which also affects this mod here.

@ille You'll have to grind them down and replace them, I had to update their orientation, they were facing to the right instead of forwards like they should have been. Sorry for the inconvenience.

Hi guys :) Great mod so far, but today I noticed that all of my placed alert light bars are switched to 90 grade of degree and are now sticking out of the wall :D Any idea why?

@Gromit Unfortunately yes you will need to grind them and replace them, sorry for the inconvenience. When I first made these blocks I thought they had to face a certain direction for the lights to work (thrusters and weapons are like that).
