Ps: Excuse my poor english, it was written on my phone and it is really annoying to canceled word after ....
The damage range is linked to where the game considers its "Atmosphere" to begin. Scale that down and the damage will go with it.
is there a way to decrease the distance's damage.
I have made a solar system, and unfortunatly it is annoying to find how for a planet can be put in "safe zone" from this sun.
I would like to leave like 10 or 50 km away or for the best result on side safe and other side dangerous.
thank you
If you wish to try doing so yourself feel free to do so. Just need to edit the cloud layer colors in the Planet sbc file.
If you have any questions, feel free to contact me via Discord
Also, don't choose to spawn here, especially if you have a no speed limit mod. I reached 253,000 m/s before my game crashed. xD
I built it this way because that's how I needed it to function for the server I built it for.
If it doesn't work for you, then you can either choose not to use it, or you're welcome to edit and upload your own adjusted version, so long as it's unlisted.
The gravity and atmosphere are set the way they are so that they align at certain distances. I had to balance the ranges at which the damage begins to function (extent of the "atmosphere") with the visual graphic of suns outer layer, and range/intensity of the gravity well at the point where syphoning will be visible.
If you need your own modified version, then you are welcome to alter mine and upload it as long as it remains unlisted.
If you don't know how to do so, there are plenty of tutorials, and a lot of very knowledgeable people on Keens official Discord that could point you in the right directions.
The outer visible glowing layer sits about 3x the radius of the planet away from the actual physical surface. If lowered to only 100g, then you would also need to pull in the cloudlayer distance to line up with the new gravity range, and pull in the atmosphere height to adjust the starting point of the damage script.
Or.. just don't fly near the giant ball of destruction when playing in a server with no speed limit
After that it just came down to tuning the height of the Cloudlayers, reach of its gravity, and atmosphere height (Where the Damage Script kicks in)
