Does this work in current 1.13.2? If not, would it be possible to get an update Pikaoku if not too much trouble?

Is it possible to distribute artifacts to a specific person? Like to select a Knight or my Heir?
In addition, sometimes, when I distribute an artifact, the receiver does not equip it. Is that a bug?

I see but there may still be a usecase for this mod because giving weapons youre not using to your knights is a good idea to make them stronger

The ability to destroy an artefact has been added to the base game, so that's the ideal lazy approach now. While it's true that distributing with this mod is not as impactful as gifting manually, the point of this mod was to very quickly get rid of a lot of artefacts very quickly,I didn't care about being optimised about it. Now, I smash, smash, smash artefacts.

But if its supposed to be a qol change with minimal impact then why do we get less opinion gain? At that point its optimal to use the decision, click on the suggested character, cancel the decision, and then gift it manually. And thats not very qol-like..
The only problem would be if the modifier was stackable with other gifts

That event isn't being triggered by me, it's an incompatibility with some other mod you are using.

I have the same bug of giving away a artefact i dont have. Could you add an option to turn off this event?

Good mod when you use it manually, but I get random pop-ups every few months asking me to give something to someone, but i dont see which artifact. I guess it bugs out with one of my other mods. Sad..

I just noticed I believe I have the same issue as some others, the decision is popping up when I don't have an artifact to gift.

@Pikaoku There is a mod called the Norman Flavor Pack (https://steamhost.cn/steamcommunity_com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2718144740&searchtext=duchies) that for some reason interferes with the decision to give away an artifact. Clicking icon to give away an artifact NORMALLY (not always) cause instead the Expand Duchy of Anjou decision/trigger from that mod to happen. For the life of me I haven't been able to understand why.

I'm getting a similar issue to Mackdaddy. It will randomly pop up with no artefact and list three different people to give it to.

@Mackdaddy What other mods do you have active? The events don't have triggering conditions so they should only be activated by interacting with the UI.

Since Ive downloaded the mod the event pops up even when I dont have any artifacts. When I have artifacts it pops up and doesnt even list an artifact. Im not sure if its supposed to pop up randomly or only when I click gift artifact but its very often and annoying.

This is exactly what I was looking for as it is tiresome to manage all the artifacts very soon in the game. Just simple artifact management QoA.
Is it ironman achievement compatible? Should I start new game or it would work for any save?

@sfbistimg That is part of the base game. You have a claim to the artefact so the NPCs think they're improving your opinion of them. It is annoying me too so I might investigate a way to deter them from trying that.

this mod is sort of not working, by that I mean I gift away the artifacts that I don't want. Then a little while later the person I gifted the artifact to sends it back to me as a gift :)

Looking at the code, the family member option seems to be miswritten to give the item to the knight:

Hi. I'm having a problem that when I try to give an artifact to a family member using this mod, it gives it to the knight instead.

@Your Good Pal Chev In the vanilla interaction you can click the little arrow beside the artefact to change it. It only *defaults* to the oldest, which makes giving away several artefacts a pain.

I will look into the claims issue but I haven't had this issue in my intrigue game so far. What mechanic are you using to get the claim? Fabricate?

Also, I meant to say this earlier, but I'm having an issue where the event to distribute the artifact is firing whenever I get a new claim or province. I'm not sure if another mod might be causing this.

@Pikaoku As another person mentioned, the gift artifact interaction in vanilla just chooses the oldest artifact you have, it doesn't allow you to give a specific artifact to that person.

@Your Good Pal Chev You can achieve this in the base game by right clicking the character you want to gift the artefact to. This mod just makes it easier to mass-distribute a bunch of items you do not care about. :winter2019happyyul:

@tylerstevenson999 I appreciate that! The Catholic Trinity pushed an update in the last few days. If you completely uninstall TCT (make sure steam does the update) and re-subscribe, the compatibility issue should be gone and TCT will work with this. Hope this helps. :winter2019happybulb:

Mod has a bugged interaction with catholic trinity what a shame....









I was looking forward to trying catholic trinity because there is no way in hell i'm uninstalling this mod.

@Bxgz That is functionally possible for a mod, however I do not want to implement it in this one. I want this mod to have as minimal an impact as possible on the gameplay. You can already gift artifacts and this mod just makes it simpler. Destroying mods is not an option in the base game's balance so I don't want to introduce the potential for a bunch of bugs.

Great mod. The built in give artifact gives by date of acquisition. Had over 300 artifacts locked behind one purple one I wanted to keep. Honestly something that should be in the base game along with the ability to search for people that have illustrious artifacts.

@Pikaoku, It looks like unlanded characters won't equip them, as soon as landed they equip. Is that something that could be changed?

@Arcimbaldo I got to look into this. I believe it is a bug with Trinity. There are a few other mods also experiencing incompatibility with it. I don't think there's a clean way for me to get my mod to not trigger their issue. The problem is with the on_pope_death event added by trinity.

Am I supposed to be able to distribute other people's artifact? If I view an AI's inventory, I'm able to gift his artifact to someone

for some reason, using this mod alongside Catholic Trinity, pressing the button added by this mod fires a Papal Trinity event about the Papal Succession instead of firing the distribute artifact event. seems very odd, but what do i know about modding.

@Rhazes I've seen NPCs equip an artefact immediately after getting it and also never equiping another artefact. I'm not sure how they decide it, but its just an AI decision. There's no way to force them to equip an artefact currently.

Do people I give artifacts to equip them? None of the artifacts I have gifted get equipped they just sit in their inventory and I can't put it in their slots for them. I can equip my character just fine though. I . This is not a bug with your mod this is in my game. I was thinking of using your mod to see if it would equip them.

@FunGaming44 If I removed the gift button on the artefact details page they would be compatible. I'm going to wait to make sure there aren't any big issues I've missed with the inventory window, and if there aren't, I'll remove that second button so they're compatible.
