I honestly agree with Lakhdun, Why is it more expensive then a medical room DESPITE BEING THE SAME BUT WITH LESS FEATURES?!

Gotta agree with Lakhdun down there, I haven't played the update Yet, but as I was about to I came across this.
Wtf was Keen smoking when they added the refill station with a stupid recipee like that?
Like it was already said, the refill station is NOT supposed to be some stupid expensive block given it's basic usecase and necesity.

If anything (again, at least to me), basically the vanilla refill station is obsolete the way it currently is in the game, if I don't want to waste precious silver for a proper medical room, I won't want to waste precious gold for a refill station either. Having no faction restrictions is only relevant in MP.

As a compromise, you could significantly lower the speed of recharging (it would make sense if it has no superconductors after all), and have the faction restrictions so it doesn't completely override the vanilla block's use.

If I could, I'd do it myself the way I want, but I don't know the first thing about modding, so I have to rely on the awesome people of the modding community like you.

I don't want to be a nuisance, so if you say it's not gonna happen, take it or leave it, I won't bother you further, I just wanted to point out that this mod absolutely wouldn't be obsolete if you returned it to it's original version

I understand it's your mod, so up to you want you want to do with it, but it was so essential and I miss it so much that I thought I'll try and give another go to convince you if you don't mind :D

I have absolutely zero idea why Keen decided to add superconductors for the vanilla refill station. All other blocks that need superconductors have functions that are as advanced as you can get (inclucing prototech, since they don't add new functions, they're just stronger versions), but the refill station has a function that you need from literally the first minute of the game.
It even says on the official wiki that "Due to the need for supercondutors, they are quite expensive. " For me the whole point of using this was exactly that I don't want to waste materials to have full medical rooms everywhere, not even in all bases/outposts close to each other, and definitely not several in one base only to have access to the very basic and very often needed function of refill/recharge.

@Lakhdun I made it mirror the vanilla version that was added in the Fieldwork update. This mod is, unfortunately, kind of obsolete with the addition of a vanilla counterpart. I updated it as an alternative, but I didn't really want to change the game's balance by contradicting the vanilla component list.

Hey, first of all great mod, I've been using it for a while now, absolutely essential. I was surprised by the updated component list though. To be fair, I made my own life a bit more difficult with an ore distribution mod, but the main reason I liked your mod was that it was a simple straightforward block with the basic functions of refill/recharge, needing only basic resources. At least for me the main selling point of this block was that it doesn't need silver (or any other higher tier ore), so now superconductors being added kinda defeats the whole purpose. Would you maybe consider adding an alternate version with the original functions and component requirements?

Updated for Fieldwork. This version is now an alternative, available inside the same group as the vanilla refill station.

Congrats on the ascendancy to vanilla! Your mod is so invaluable, it's an automatic must-have in every world once someone tries it. Personally, I think your model is prettier than the new vanilla version, and I like the conveyor-cap method as an alternative to the embedded one Keen is introducing, so please keep this mod alive well into the future. @Valikai - Re: Inset version. If it was designed like the full block version of the airvents/fans, so that all sides were conveyors that would make is infinitely more versatile.

This is a rather nice mod, but I'm having a problem with it. It will refill O2 and Energy, but H2, for some reason. I have tested it, hooking it up to my H2 tanks in numerous ways, but it doesx not refill my Engineer's current H2.

Could you perhaps add the "player health/power/o2/h bars" display functionality from VCZ Medical Station (No Respawn) as a base display option (lcd script?) to this mod if possible? If the author of that mod would allow.
I used that other mod and switched to this one as this fits with the new graphical style much better.

Unfortunately that issue lies with how the other mod is coded. They simply aren't compatible with the way that one is setup.

Refill station with only the refilling and not respawning
Any chance for a respawn station for only respawning?
It'd be nice to have a smaller alternative than the med bay for large grid,
and a small grid respawn point that doesn't assemble or refine like the survival kit

No, i use nothing what can rebalance recharge-speed of Engineer. I think so, i can mistake. Well, still thanks for mod!:steamthumbsup: Maybe i need change something in options or really check mods.

@Mr.Riggs This mod does not recharge bottles, it only fills the engineer. The speed it refills the engineer is the same as a Medical Room, so it should be super fast. Are you using another mod that may be conflicting?

another suggestion is have an extended part of the model so it covers the name plack of the convayer that says Refill/Recharge Station. Just have your base abit bigger so it covers the name plack and have its own

Was going to suggest this for the power backs bu then i remembered there consumables
So maybe the mod could turn them into rechargeable 'bottle' like powerpacks then have a recharge station, Like a alt version of this model with power-cells on the side instead of bottles

Great idea, thanks for your time and effort adding it to the game, it will make those constant refill trips to the survival kit then topping up from the H2/O2 thingee way less of an annoyance, especially early it the game. Cheers mate.

@valikai Ok I'm not using any other fill mods it is working to fill the suit but something was filling the bottles I had that where empty. Ok so nothing wrong here then thanks

@xcollector_21x Can confirm this mod is working, the update did not impact it. If you're using a mod to automatically fill your bottles, that mod may have broken. This mod does not fill anything but your suit.

Anyway you could possibly make a "bottle filling station" that has room for one bottle to fill but won't let the bottle pass thru to the tanks to get filled? I really want just filling stations and not have to chase my bottles through my conveyor networks
