Yes, it is buggy, but the bugs generally stem from this one Tmodloader piece of laziness. Update datatypes, please?
Aside from that and fixing the player GUI shifting around on reloads, this mod is amazing.
It's two years old and is still buggy to the point that it's hard to fully enjoy. And even where it isn't a buggy mess, it's designed in a way that happily and intentionally wastes your time with meaningless clicking for minimal gain.
This mod uses a point-buy system in every area of character progression. Point-buy is a design trap too many people fall into but is especially bad in a mod that scales infinitely. It means you'll eventually give up on the skill tree because you know you can't afford anything. It's why you'll spend entirely too much time on the Stats menu clicking for next to nothing. It's also one reason you'll give up on Item Evolution (but not the main reason, tbf (it's buggy af)).
The worst part of it is that it doesn't even try to attach itself to Terraria at all, or any other theme or concept. It doesn't provide anything that justifies using it; if you're looking for something deeper than 'number go up,' this mod just doesn't have it.
вопрос не в самом РПГ, а в прокачке оружия, оно, я считаю, лишним
играл в сборке с ториумом
I also gain NOTHING when I use skills
This mod is so fucking dissapointing
Enemies eventually become so tanky they crash the game when you hit them
Like the "Lazy" modifier would give insane speed bonuses.
Other modifiers would get insane values, like Legendary was 30-50% bonuses on everything. Pickaxes and Axes would occasionally be buffed with godlike speed and instantly destroy anything.
Summons would attacking passing butterflies instead of enemies.
My armor's defense values were deleted from the item. It would state in the crafting window that they have defense but once you made them, it would go away, leaving you with armor with 0 defense.
I do really like the concept and the skill tree for characters seemed to work, mostly, but even after turning off all the item mods, they'd still be bugged. So we just had to boot it.
I would really enjoy just a character skill tree version of this mod, no item or enemy mods.
Now for the not-so-pretty part: The UI is janky and overwhelming. When I was playing this multiplayer, everyone shrunk the added UI elements to as small as possible, manually moved it out of view, and used keyboard shortcuts to access everything. For me, only the upper-left 1/4th of my screen had the blue box behind the leveling elements. This meant that I had to drag the leveling stuff through this 1/4th to make changes to my character.
In my not-a-mod-dev opinion, this mod needs balancing; how strong you get vs how strong the enemies get. I want it to be the mod that everyone is talking about, and it just needs time to get there.
1. Incorrect operation of the mannequins - when damage is inflicted on the mannequin, the weapon is pumped.
2. There is no possibility of fine-tuning and sane bonuses from the skill tree and attribute menu, unlike RPG+.
3. Lack of fine-tuning of opponents. I have a character of level 160, and all mobs are 200+, although the mod's factory settings are. What are you talking about in general, there is no difference between the level of a player and the level of opponents in a specific figure, but only through 1x or 0,75x or LMAO.
4. A weapon leveling system that absolutely cannot withstand the pace of the game on any character except the summoner.
If we talk about the pros, it's that the weapons from the mods are also capable of pumping, but this still does not cancel out the whole wave of cons.
these two mods make the armour evo tree not show up
Also some bosses for some reason don't scale, like I had skeletron prime head deal only 100 damage at level 80 compared to it's arms which each had 2k damage. It works if the prime head had a berserker modifier, but without any modifier it's poop.
Also the stats ui disappears every time I enter a world
With tweaks/fixes this could be amazing
