Too bad it has broken, got pretty far but now I have run out of clues.

k8sparrot - thanks so much for the comments. Yes, I suspect this has broken, as I have not updated it to keep up with the game. Sorry for any disappointment!

The reason I suspect the editor changes is that I know some other rooms have had problems, also in this room there is distortion on other items.

Question about if this map has "broken" with changes to the editor - can anyone advise? With the colour wheels, are the three objects that @Sousaphone mentioned as a clue the three vases under the wheel? If so they are all black with a red stripe for me. If not, please give me a hint!

very lost on how to do the map. Found multiple objects with colored markings. Not sure what do to.

I restarted it, now it all worked and I finished it.

Oh yes, then it was a bug because I solved that one for the glory of Yee.
Sousaphone  [author] 25 Mar, 2022 @ 10:54am
All hail great Yee! Thanks for the info. The puzzle that does it is the wheel puzzle, with the alphabet heiroglyphics.
Shnoink 25 Mar, 2022 @ 4:23am
Yeah, I had it fall down in one play through but not when I started it up again the next day. Could you tell me what puzzle does that? What I really liked about this one is the decoding puzzle, it really makes you feel like you're exploring an ancient temple for Yee.

Well thanks, Loss! That means a lot. Let me know what particular bits stand out and I'll try to do similar in future rooms. When you complete one of the puzzles, the second wheel will fall from a hatch in the ceiling. I haven't tested it since the last update though, so this may be bugged at the moment. Apologies if so! So, in short - one wheel falls from a hatch in the ceiling, and the other is released by solving the puzzle with the coloured wheels.

By the way, I wanted to say that this is one of the best puzzles I've played from the community puzzles. Thank you so much for making us all so happy with this game.

How do you get the second wheel?

Useful feedback - it definitely needs to be better. Thanks Chamelion and ezKill42 - lots for me to think about!

Going in a similar regard to one of the puzzles mentioned below, I do want to add something else: You can break the vases underneath the window, and it causes the window to break after destroying the third one, thus bypassing the color wheel puzzle entirely. Also, having two sets of the same color on opposite sides of each other makes it even more confusing, as I had set the wheels on one side, thinking it was correct, and it did not unlock; I had to rotate two to the other side to register it.

Hi Sousaphone, RE: the colors, use colors with more contrast but even that may not work for all. Maybe there's a more obvious way of associating/connecting the clue with the color wheels.
RE: the glyph combo, now I'm more confused. We are talking about the same one, its the 5 combo with glyphs instead of numbers (nicely done). I saw no translation anywhere, I just saw the 5 in book..they no work. Then I tried the group from the wall that were not in the book (the book says they all mean 'great' or something similar) but couldn't figure which of them to use. Did I miss a clue? btw: of course I'll play your next one:steamhappy:!

Well made had some problems with the riddles but after i read the hints here i got them correct.

Hi ezKill42 - thanks again! It's great to hear you enjoyed it. I think that's a fair comment on the colour differentiation - I wonder how I can make it more clear for those who are colour blind...

Also the glyph combo puzzle, if it's the five digit one - you should be able to use the heiroglyphic phrase on the wall to work out the word "wheel", which is all around that particular combo lock!

Hopefully you will play my next one, whenever it is released!

Done, this is a really clever map. The story and puzzles all hung together very well. Two caveats, one is my problem & the other mite be too. 1) I have trouble differentiating some colors so I never even saw the colored wheel clue until u pointed it out. 2) Between u & I:steammocking: I cheated to get it but still don't understand the glyph combo puzzle.:eskey:
Sousaphone  [author] 19 Feb, 2022 @ 9:44am
Hi ezkill42 - thanks for trying this one out! I've tried to keep each puzzle in the same area as its solution, so the coloured wheels are only related to that part of the room rather than anything else, and the tic-tac-toe board is related to the lock directly below it.

Tic tac toe - You'll need to find the map pieces for this one, then follow the correct coloured line. If you've thrown around all the objects you may want to try and find some of them again..

Coloured wheels - Nearby there are three items which are the same and non-interactable - use their colours to help you.

I'm a bit baffled:steamfacepalm:. Only got one medallion lit 8 digit dbl combo . I understand the glyph combo is related to book & wall but nothing I've tried works. Unclear whether tic-tac-toe board is related to blocks/lock below it or colored wheels (or both). Any hint you can give me? btw: you can walk between wall and red square in corner with the vases on shelves.
