Hello i think its possible to change the orientation of the connector but you need to be very carfull. you can remove some of the bottom SMall Hydrogen tanks and replace them with the connector. make sure the conveyors still reach every part of the craft. and add some tanks in the connectors original place. PS: glad the Tauro grey still is getting used. i am working on a direkt updated version of it at the moment. https://steamhost.cn/steamcommunity_com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2796230025 the one left of the Tanto is the update with or without Guided Missiles. Do you reckon I could mod the Tanto so the connector is at the bottom without doing a major redesign of the ship? I don't like the thought of only having one main back thruster and my main hangar only has a bottom connector. (btw the tauro grey is such a godsend, thank you for making it :D )

The wings are in the Flight position for the Blueprint. i would recommand having them in the Folded(Storrage position to weld up the wings. is that helpfull do you have any further questions ?

oh some thing i have noticed, i use the blue print and also build and repair, the "hinge wings" weld to the main chassis of the fighter and break off the hinge when opening them, not sure if thats because of build and repair or just because of how the blueprint is uploaded (maybe the wings should be unfolded in the blue print?)

Ok thank you for the Info Cheeseradardeluxe. i do know the pain of that, i had a similar experience with using multipl Miners. i will work on a multi Tanto Blueprint that hopfully fix this problem.

with the renaming provided scripts can be enabled on the world there are some that can automatically add a prefix or ending to every block on a grid

Hello Cheeseradardeluxe a there is quicker short fix if the main problem is that all ships disconnect at the same time. Delete the Group "Connector Back [Tanto]" and put the Block Connector Back [Tanto] on the tool bar where the group used to be that should also be possible with all groups with only one block in them.

PS: i was thinking a lot of publishing a Blueprint of Multipl ships of the same typ with the nummers already put in but intill now there was no demand for it by the Community. Would you like that i publish that ?

Hello Cheeseradardeluxe thank you for your comment. the reason for this is that the conntroll Button are sorted into a Groupe. since all ships have the same group and all off them effect the same Buttons (as far as the game is concerned) all ships will execute that command iff the are all connected through the same grid. There is a work around for this but its alengthy one. all Blocks and groups on the ships have "[Tanto]" in the name. add a Number to all the Blocks and the to all the groups and save them (make sure they are not connected to each other when doing this to avoid assinging multipl schips to the same groupe). for example you would have "Cockpit [Tanto1]", "H2/O2 Generator [Tanto1]" on the same grid and The Group "Thrusters all [Tanto1]"
Its a lengthy progress but would solve all the problems.

Just a quick question, I printed 6 of these things as ready fighters, every time I use any of the controls thrusters on off, connectors ect it effects all 6 of them, anyone able to help?

Hello again chris Thanks again for your comment :). i just tried to dump my fuel as fast as posibl. Thrusting full forward left and upward constantly. I could not do it quicker as 2:39 min after that i tried a testrack with a 8 layout. still trying to spend my fuel as fast as Possibl. 3:05 min. After that i tried again with Steps 1 and 2 and got the flying time of 4:58 min. Ps: all of this in atmosphere at 1 g. Overall i have to agree that the Flight time of the Tanto is limited. Partol flights with fights of 12 min are possible but the fuel capacity is limited. The Tanto is however more Designed as a fast short range interceptor. To work as base or ship defence or as attack craft supported by a pocket carrier. I would recommand to Put ice in H2 Generator and connector to boost its flight time with ice in cockpit H2 and connector the flight time increases to round 30 min
have you tested steps 1 and 2?

hello chris sorry to hear that. i just tested the craft. it can hold its elevation for 17:32 min on 1g have you used step 1.? 1. Outside of Battles use Button 3 on Hotbar 1 to disable front facing thrusters.

hydro is full and Im on a planet. fuel is empty after less than a minute :( So its build for space but not for 1.0 gravity.

@Chris also make sure your hydrogen tank is not on stockpile and you have ice in your o2/h2 generator.

And also a question where are testing the ship? In space, on planet or on moon and what the gravity of that place. ( high grav place will use more energy/fuel to maintain flight or hovering idle.)

Hello Chris thank you for your question. the Tanto has a battle manovering time of 5:05 min (back facing thrusters full thrust in battle) make sure all Hydrogen Tanks are full and use the following features to increase flight time. 1. Outside of Battles use Button 3 on Hotbar 1 to disable front facing thrusters. this way you dont need to hold "W" and permamently spend fule when already at 100 ms. (This feature is on all of my Flying Blueprints) 2. Hit Button 3 on hotbar 3 to turn off the back facing small Hyrogen Thrusters. this way you only use the Large fuel efficent Thrusters to ecxellerate. Usefull for taking of and reaching oribit. This should increase Flight time dramaticaly. Let me know if you have any other questions
