No, it no longer works since the Stormworks booster update (and also the fin update).

I tested this thoroughly with minor modifications and it always flys below my target once it gets close.

does this still work?

Missile has now been fixed since the fin updates.

@naizey_lines

Not on the Workshop, unfortunately. I can make one, or I can ask my friend to upload his. I helped him make a slower missile.

Please message me on Discord (DatLima25#6608)

i looked at the m3 varis but the missile is quite large. im trying to make a compact VLS system and i got your missile to work but the missile is so fast that it reaches a couple of kilometers in altitude before it even has time to level out.

do you know of any other radio guided missiles on the workshop?

@naizey_lines with some heavy modification, yes

For a slower missile I suggest Lassi and Dorert's M3 Varis missile.

is there a way to slow down this missile?

me brane no beeg how do I make track pod :trol:

@thatcoolcat1

fair enough, but I hope the average user knows the range of his or her target pod
thatcoolcat1 19 Feb, 2022 @ 12:13pm
well, im not doubting the effectiveness and possible range, I just doubt that anyone downloading is going to have a ground tracking station and a datalink system to reach that. at most its up to a ygt2 tracking pod for the average user.

@thatcoolcat1

12km range can be achieved using something like a ground-based radar or a datalink system. And in testing, internal GPS and a good tracking radar setup using old radars produce *very* similar results.

Some things you might want to clarify
- your video with the missile is not done using a standard configuration, and was done with a gps sensor in the target aircraft transmitting. disclosing this in the description would be good.
- a better clarification on the range number, separating between motor range and internal/external seeker range. an aircraft firing this missile would only be able to track to 5km realistically, and must be using a targeting system with old radar.
