I made a slight modification that lets you change this things speed units with the push of a button :D

Not currently, but they are commented in the code and you only need to change a couple of lines (setColor).

It's possible, but I don't really have the time/will to make it right now. If you're interested in modifying this to fit your needs, you can just modify the label for m/s as the controller doesn't do any conversions for m/s

I love the look of the display, would it be possible to have a 1x1 in the same format that will allow you to customize a 3 char text and simple number input?

Not currently, but you can play around with the color values in the lua script, from what I remember they are labelled.
