@jack.ace in the mean time, you can use script to add special building slot (see about running script at https://forum.paradoxplaza.com/forum/threads/scripting-cheats-for-debug-console-to-use-run-command.1420736/ ) the script that I used in this situation is:

title:b_???={
title_province={
add_special_building_slot=generic_university
}
}

Where "b_???" should be replaced with the code for barony you want the special building slot located at.

@jack.ace It won't work, as well as all mods that aren't updated for the new patch, because Paradox changed the syntax (language) of the code in 1.13.0. So the way the mod is written isn't valid any more. You'll have to wait for an update.

I had trouble getting it to work with the AGOT mod, did some digging and found that the special building generic_university is disabled by the total conversion.

If you're having similar problems it may be fixed by going into the total conversion mod's folders and locating the 00_special_building file in the buildings folder and removing the #s before each line of the building to.

For AGOT the path was C:\...\Steam\steamapps\workshop\content\1158310\2962333032\common\buildings

I wounder there is a mod that let's you build generic special buildings like cathedrals?

I mannaged to make it possible to choose where the university is built using the create holy order widget. Though I couldn't change the localization to match university founding

Actually, right now I think it removes built-in universities spots, I don't see spots for universities in usual places.

Is there anyway you can make it so we can choose where we want to build a university because right now it just randomly picks one of your counties I wish we could choose were we want it not randomly picked.

It still works fine. Mod should be compatible with any version.

I hope you can find some time to look at the mod to see if all still works ok since they changed so much

Such a great addition to the game. No longer do I have to cheat to grab land across the world where I know in-game universities will be, and dammit, univ's were always built all over the world anyway. Thanks.

change it to 3
didnt try it myself but it should work.

@LVLVbNH I don't think so no, I tried doing it on my end but with Sinew and this mod the descision to found a university is no longer there sadly.

Do this mod have compatibility Sinews of War?

@elderiii, I also love this mod but didn't like that it made it a random county, often one that didn't belong to me. I found a way to mod the mod that limits it to just the baronies you personally hold. @Vinician, if you'd like me to share how I did this, let me know

As it is, I have several eligible counties that are owned by vassals and only 1 of my own. I obviously don't really want to build it in a vassal county since I won't get the holder of holding benefits. The random county aspect of this mod makes no sense. Other than that it's great.

Is there any way to choose which county the university is built in if you have multiple eligible counties?

@Vicinian Hey I previously asked if you could please change the cooldown to like 6 months to found a new university and I understand your response but is there anyway you can make a gamerule so we can change the cooldown for the player only not the AI could that maybe be an option ?

Does this mod reduce the cost of sending a child to university or does anyone know of a mod that does that?

@darthsandstorm Except you then miss out on most of the bonuses making the university practically useless.

this mod is good, but how its restricted to capital barony kinda ruins the immersion since many historical universities weren't built in the capital of the realm. oxford, siena, salamanca, just to name few
