@Nyh not even in early 2000s? I saw a pic that's why I thought they did. Or perhaps in NZ? But white car with a blue checkered stripe is Aussie I think?

Just to be clear, Australia police have never used a Ford Explorer. They do used Ford utes, falcons and mustangs though.

A car stating “NYPD” = specific to New York.
A car stating “police” = generic police car.

The colour doesn’t play ANY role here…

GENERIC ISN'T ABOUT THE COLOR MORON, IT MEANS NOT BEING SPECIFIC TO A CITY/COUNTY/STATE!!!!! LOOK AT HONOLULU POLICE, CHICAGO POLICE, BOSTON POLICE, FLORIDA HIGHWAY PATROL! i did the most generic police colors is black and white it does show blue and white but they only have new york on them

new york is the only city that has there police vehicles look like this (as far as i know) generic wold be white and black all police cars that i know of are black and white

@tigertank909 uhh... generic means it's valid for all states cities and countries buddy. There aren't any rules for livery colors, other than a few exceptions like having to have a steady red light in the state of California or front facing blue lights being forbidden in the state of New York. But you could use this livery in a city located in Florida or Texas or Oregon. That's what generic means...
