But the Repentance+ update that just came out added that officially lol.

Burning Basement one is pretty hidden by comparison, a couple planks in the rubble make an X shape.
You don't add Repentogon into mods, best I could do to match what you are saying is get the newest unreleased beta build off the Github for myself, which btw, is probably not only unstable, but would also not automatically make TR compatible with Rep+, nor would it effect the actual TR for anyone else who downloads it since it's not me updating it.
And don't exaggerate with "I'll have to rip apart the mod", If you don't know the files then you just ought to ask smh.
Beast Background: resources/gfx/backdrop/hell
Mom: resources/gfx/bosses/classic
If you find that disabling one particular mod causes the game to not lag, please let us know so that we may look into it.
Do note that shader mods should not be disabled as those will inevitably cause black screens due to leaving the shader code unhandled.
It's just in the steam game files which can be accessed via the game's options in the steam library. Once you're there it's as simple as finding the specific mod file via name in the mods folder and then searching keywords like "boss" or "UI" to find what you want to change.
Although you could also wait, apparently that mod is getting compatibility for every character eventually.
