@Electric Butthole Glue
I'm doing testing now to see if this works the way I intend it.
This is even documented on the wiki, here https://spaceengineers.fandom.com/wiki/Conveyor_Sorter#:~:text=Conveyor%20sorters%20will%20not%20drain,hydrogen%20gas%20through%20the%20block .
Unfortunately, this renders the drone functionally useless once it runs out of juice, unless you want to unload everything manually or replace the conveyor sorter every time.
When it comes to sorters - it's confusing for me. During the initial tests, it seemed like the sorter doesn't let the hydrogen get through. After publishing the drone I got feedback saying that it does and there's no need to do a separate circuit for hydrogen supply. Checked it and it worked just fine. Got no idea what does it depend on.
I could recommend you one of DerMarkat miners if you need something for now: https://steamhost.cn/steamcommunity_com/workshop/filedetails/?id=2025630883
personally i replaced the ejectors and sorters with small cargo

If you want to use your mobile base make sure that it is in the same place for the duration of mining as the drone get`s to the coordinates recorded during setup phase not to the coords of the connector.
1. Some mod doesn`t like PAM or
2. Quote from the reddit post where somebody had similar issue:
(...)If you're using a realistic sized star system then you'll end up with floating point integers in your GPS cords that are to large for the script to accurately handle. The further away from the center of the universe you are the more inaccurate that math gets.
It's an issue in lots of games, not just Space Engineers.
If the hydrogen tank would be plugged in behind the conveyor sorter, the drone would not be able to refuel as the sorter would block the hydrogen traffic.
The station doesn`t need to look exactly like that, it`s just an example. The point is to plug in the hydrogen before the sorter.
