So besides my aimless rant, I again congratulate on this excellently made mission! Can recommend to small groups of players wanting a fun quality 30 mins "player versus environment" with a minor puzzle!
Again: a fun mission. The player investigates the environment in a non-linear way (reminded me of Deus Ex).
I'm thinking you could perhaps attract attention to the power switch without spelling it in the objectives, via the environment. Perhaps play CfgSFX noises or particle sparks at the switch building, or flashing lights. Or the base power turning off at mission start and a shout complaining about power problems (with subtitles) played in the distance. But-
Good call on the buildings, I hid the terrain ones and placed ones manually for the mission. I will add grey boxes.
After you turn on the power, you still need to locate your missing team member. Turning the power on should highlight his position, and is also necessary to reach his dead body and recover the UGV. After you find his body, you will get a new task telling you to do something at the radar station. .
It's currently a little confusing since you can turn the power on before or after finding your team member. I will update the task descriptions to make the objectives more clear.
Thanks for the feedback!
Unfortunately I didn't finish the mission. After a fantastic first 20 minutes of methodically clearing the base, I "turned on the power" (for what reason is not explained), then spent another 20 minutes looking through empty rooms. By that point all the tension had evaporated, and I quit. Which is a real shame(!).
(also PS: some buildings are invisible on the map. You can fix this by placing grey shapes)
