I'm amazed at how great the L4D1-inspired specials look. They blend in with the overall aesthetics of the first game and their designs look like something Valve themselves would make! It's a bit of a shame that they weren't given this kind of treatment during The Last Stand update from the get go, but I'm glad you brought this into reality nonetheless! 10/10 ^-^

I can't help but feel like a L4D1 Spitter should have had a less mutated/melted off face (though I'm sure having to fit with the existing proportions and animations limited that)

If that consistency error happens in the future with this or any other mod, try "sv_consistency 0" in the console before loading into the game.

Alright so I did some testing and it turns out, that it does work on a regular multiplayer session

I was trying to use it in Singleplayer, and it has that error. So it does work normally, but Singleplayer is broken for these three addons.

It's actually affecting all three addons, it just can only display one error at a time. I cant use any of these three addons because the game thinks they are "inconsistent" But I've been using MST and that works fine, and disabling that doesn't seem to change this outcome.

I wanna use this, but I have to figure out why they're not working/being disallowed unlike my other addons that change models.

Hey uh, when I use all more than one or all three of your L4D1 style 2nd game specials, they conflict with each other, and the game wont even let me start because "It's enforcing consistence" for the spitter model. I would very much appreciate some help or advice.

It conflicts because of the files that restrict it to the L4D1 campaigns.

They should be able to work together without any problems despite the conflict.

It's only the LFD1 variant.

I'm not sure why, but the missions folder works as a whitelist for which missions the mod should be enabled for. It will only be enabled in campaigns whose mission files are present. (Unless there aren't any, then it will just work everywhere.)

The files themselves don't need to be modified, they just need to be there.

I only found out because of other mods that work the same way.

Greetings. I'm curious about how this mod works. If it's alright of me to ask. I noticed that the name of the spitter isn't changed for the mdl or vtf, it includes mission files but these don't appear to be modified from the default mission files that I saw. How did you make it possible for this spitter to only appear in the L4D1 campaigns?

The model is dependent on the campaign, so L4D1 campaigns use this while L4D2 campaigns still use the default model. You won't see both in the same campaign.

It does work online.

Sometimes you might get the consistency error, but I haven't had that happen to me with this yet.

This is sick it is like we stepped into an Alternate reality where the Spitter and other Special's from L4D2 were in L4D1 when it came out which would mean in this Alternate reality we would have gotten new Special's we haven't seen before what an interesting thought
