I second Variable's proposal for Psycho's revive, it's the best IMO since it will not let you survive if you get a nuke to the face :)
I suggest you take another look in Psycho's revive script, it's really great. Fatal injury will kill you and you can die of blood loss, but while you are bleeding you can crawl, be picked up and carried to safety. Makes cooperation important and adds a lot to gameplay and immersion.
I tested Psycho's scripts during early development and had a few design issues with it howevrer I have not tested since.

Also, I highly recommend you switch to Psycho's wounds script, much more realistic, yet simple script, great for cooperation.
