I'd prefer if your formation was consistent with theirs, but I enjoy your mod regardless, and the mission benefits easily outweigh the penalties. I just heavily favor vassals with it present. Now in vanilla I sometimes behave like ottomans or english, consuming vast swaths of territory directly with a couple significant puppets on my periphery because they have enduring benefits as a march.
