You need 1 hand to control pitch and yaw, it's just so placement of arrow keys doesn't overlap with other keys like z x c etc.

Anyway matter of habit. Making it configurable is a good idea though, will try

i like to use wasd for plane controls for rotation and pitch and let and right arrows for rear rudder.

some people like to use ws for pitch like i do because i like to look around and stuff but able to control the plane easily instead of having to use 2 hands on the up and down arrow keys and a/d keys.

Why? Binding main axes of an aircraft to arrow keys allows you to control it by 1 hand and at the same time having free hand to access entire keyboard.

Imagine controlling plane with mouse but Y axis of mouse is controlling throttle.

Next plane to publish is Ju-87, then start on BV 138, Hs 126 and maybe next in line could've been Bf 109
