When loaded alongside the new Variety Matters Redux fork mentioned by the previous commenter, this mod prevents the dev-actions window from being opened at all.

When you attempt to open it, you get this exception: https://gist.github.com/ELLIOTTCABLE/0a0296b8a1ffe607374429642c94bbc4

There is a new fork of Variety matter which seems to address bug existing in the 1.4 Fork (like robot stuff), the guy planned to maintain this new version and add new feature so maybe you should swap / add this new fork as dependency ?

The issue seems to be the packageId :

1/ <packageId>Cozarkian.VarietyMattersImproved_1_4fork</packageId> does not work
2/ <packageId>Cozarkian.VarietyMattersImproved.14fork</packageId> however does (for example).

So this mod can't do anything about it. It would have to be the author of Variety Matters Improved(1.4 Fork) to change their packageId.

Another option would be to create a local copy of the two mods (with RimPy) like I did, and modify the two About/About.xml files yourself :

About.xml - Variety Matters Improved(1.4 Fork) [pastebin.com]
About.xml - Variety Matters - More Compat [pastebin.com]

@f it already lists the 1.4 as required for 1.4 version (while listing the original for 1.3). I believe it may be an issue with RimPy, where it follows its own rules while ignoring what the mod itself lists as a requirement.

By the way, I'm talking about mod dependencies from "About.xml" file, not the ones listed on Steam.

- Updated to 1.4 using Variety Matters Improved(1.4 Fork)
- (Both 1.3 and 1.4) Changed how the mod handles food - now it uses Def Extensions to give food special properties. Allows for more compatibility

Does this still work in 1.4?

Thx for considering

@Think3r oops, seems I forgot. Fixed it.

@Shavius I could look into it, just might take a while. Got a couple of other things I'm working on right now.

You might want to add named mods as prerequisites to this mod on Steam.

The addon has added a long lasting thought effect for vanilla lavish meal. Could you please make them apply to VCE gourmet and lavish meal as well? For minimal changes, you can just use patch operation to find all VCE Thoughtdef about lavish and gourment meal, and add a <nextThought>VMDT_AteLavishMeal_II</nextThought> to them, although that will make this feature unadjustable in mod setting
Soky  [author] 1 Mar, 2022 @ 10:22am
@Shavius I haven't tested with it enabled. But as long as it doesn't change how ingredients are tracked for the food, I think it should be fine. Can't guarantee that though.

How is this compatible with the features added in Variety Matters Dinner Time
