in my game walls are not buildable, there is no paths connections... help!

Can you please disable the night material? And add paths? Or, I can make the changes myself and reupload the mod, by your permission.

The fastest way to fix the nighttime texture is to copy the file 1.mtl in every subfolder and rename the copy to 2.mtl. Repeat this with every subfolder and voila!

I love this mod, but please, if you fix the nighttime texture, give them all a footpath or make them maintaince free.
In the moment its really a problem to use them with maintaince and its not possible to use them in realisitic mode.

Oh by the way I play with DaffyFlyer's "Lighting, Sky and Environment Overhaul" mod so those values may or may not look as good with vanilla night lighting.

I fixed it, it was actually quite simple.

I created a 1_e.dds file that was the same resolution as the original texture, but completely black. Then I made a 1_e.mtl file that reads as:

$SUBMATERIAL Material
$TEXTURE_MTL 0 1.dds
$TEXTURE_MTL 1 1_e.dds
$TEXTURE 2 blankbump.dds

$DIFFUSECOLOR 0.85 0.85 0.85 1
$SPECULARCOLOR 0.85 0.85 0.85 1
$AMBIENTCOLOR 0.85 0.85 0.85 1

$SPECULARPOWER 2.000000

$END


The 1_e.dds and 1_e.mtl files will have to be added to each individual building but they can all be the same since the source texture didn't change between them.

I THINK that was all I had to do, but let me know if it doesn't work, I might be forgetting something.

Any clue what's the issue with the nighttime texture? I'd love to see this fixed and be willing to help but I'm pretty new at modding.

@Jutland: thanks for the reply. There is another castle set (a small Russian mediaval kremlin, not the big one from Moskow), where the gates are passable. So it is technically possible. I like those old buildings for early starts.

Vehicles won't pass through the gate, citizens won't walk through the passanger gates. Construction/distribution offices don't recognize targets inside the gate. Graphically this is a very beautiful mod, but these issues renders them useless.

great stuff, though I probs won't be using it. it'd go great with Novu's tudor themed buildings though!
