Dark gray is good and the olive drab with splotching style camo shows a commitment to a realistic military design but your execution falls a bit flat. Basically I think you committed too far into the "what would TF2 weapons look like but more military realistic?" instead you should ask "how would military realistic look like in TF2?"
Essentially the skin is boring and not good enough to be great but neither bad enough to be memorable.
we need more War styled paints in the game
the camo print is good its the gray
its a bit too simple Id think making it more of a cast iron texture would work a lot better and will give your paint much better detail
also another good thing to do is show how the paints look ingame to help people see how they look if it gets added in.
