It's also clearly built for atmosphere, with an air vent as the only thing connected to the cockpit. I can't recommend it for a moon or any non-oxygen start.
I like the attention to stability and rollovers, but I think it could use some iteration, especially on the non-atmosphere design.
I want to use it with the real solar system mod, but that mod strictly starts in creative mode without any vehicles :/
I'm aware of both issues, but the small grid space pod is on purpose, because i want to have the space and planet spawn relatively equally balanced
With the rework of the mod I will fix the issue with the O2 generator :)
While I understand to a degree using small grid for the space spawn pod, but the benefits of the large grid cousin would be a more fitting for the space environment.
The pros and con of both can be argue, but here the gist of it while the small grid are flexible and nimble, it need a base or outpost to work from to be efficient, while large grid have the utility to be completely self reliant on both gathering, processing & production.
So all that can be sum up as would it be possible to have a complementary mod but replacing the space pod with your unique ecstatic in ship building??
Sorry for the wall of text.
Also could you upload a blueprint of these and the new ones you make?
I will soon revise my design, if you feel like it you can send me a version how you would design it
I do like that it was easy to add a second battery quickly by simply ducking under the vehicle. I also was able to easily place a solar panel onto the roof to supplement the power generation. Very easy to modify and add to the design as needed.
After I had my base up and running I quickly converted it to a more modular minded flat bed/cargo hauler. I have not needed to build another vehicle yet, which says a lot about how good the design is. having tried and used a number of workshop rover designs, this one is a 8 out of 10, and on my short list of go to mods.
Je viens de l'utiliser sur TITAN et ce fut parfait pour rejoindre un emplacement idéal.
(I just used it on TITAN and it was perfect to reach an ideal location.)
Things I had to add
1 solar panel, top and bottom.
1 Programmable Block (I use Automatic LCDs, awesome script https://steamhost.cn/steamcommunity_com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=822950976) .
Also, I suggest NOT hiding the thrusters group, as with limited power they're not something you want running all the time. Personally, I get up to speed, turn the dampeners and thrusters off and just drift to extend battery life (while keeping one of the solar panels facing the sun), or turn them off when I'm mining for the same reason.
Otherwise, the Explorer-MK5 is an EXCELLENT replacement for the vanilla space pod.
Thank you!
the parachute I made a mistake, I'll fix it right away then the rover should fit for your server
