You're definitely not a idiot. It might just be Steam/Valve that is making it it a bit slower or choppy. But it's still a very cool mod. And if you ever made a version with only the hands and no brass knuckle, I'll be there to download it too.
If you're looking for sound suggestions, I'd suggest looking towards the scene in Band of Brothers where Joe Toye uses brass knuckles to KO a German soldier on D-Day.

However, there is a nice Trench Knife model in DoD:Source. If I ever come back and successfully port animations, I might use those.
The tonfa should look best with MW19's
As for dagger, though I couldn't exactly imagine its size, I would like to see any knife-like weapon to use CoD:IW knife animation for how it's being held
