I've noticed these stockpiles start to throw errors if trying to merge minified things, and when trying to take xenogerms or stacks from the altered carbon mod it deletes all their info

@Dauntless It might, but amount of stacks should have little impact on performance.

If I have far too many stacks of resources on my map, will this mod help with game performance?
(Suppose I have upwards of 50k steel, 15k Bricks, 15k other raw resources)

@Pos 5 Not sure what the issue is, might be connected to the new storage settings in 1.4. I have not been able to figure out how to fix it however, the code is to complex for me

Thanks for the mod! It seems to be a great mod! I'm new to use it and I got a yellow warning saying "No Quantum Storage space". What does it mean?

I'm now having an unaccessable storage area with one warehouse and several stockpiles inside, and outside the building, I'm having a lower-priority warehouse as input, a relay as output. Things are pushed to relay and there are plenty room in the storage area, I'm wondering why I'm getting this warning. Am I doing something wrong?

Little warning for anyone using this mod, if you move this mod in your mod order, it bricks any saves you have currently going. Even if you move it back into place, you get a map loading error upon loading a save.

Not to mention that it can still be fickle at times to even get working correctly.

Ok I tried to download it to see how it works and it does not seem like even the game knows. My haulers spent a good 20 minutes fighting these things tooth and nail about where items go and that's when I could actually get it to move items. And that's only with all stockpiles connected allowed everything. I turned one thing off to filter nothing happened.

@Dakkaboy My testing shows that the quantum warehouses will pull from Deep Storage tall shelves built on top of the warehouse, but won't override the shelves' max capacity per tile: if there's more items in the quantum storage than the shelf would ordinarily be able to hold, then the warehouse will dump the item onto a bordering ground tile, ignoring the shelf.

@Xylo You can see what storage tab is used if you hover on it the description should mention quantum storage if its tjis mods tab. Lwm has options for organizing storage that may explain it

When I click Architecht>Storage I get all the normal storage items from other mods like shelves and gunracks or cabinets. when I research the quantum storage that same tab, everything gets removed from that tab

Yep, just disabled everything except for harmony, loaded a new colony, dev completed all research and put some items in a stockpile, I only have quantum storage options available. when I added it to my already running game the storage I had built stays there, its just as if it isnt listed to build again.

All the research descriptions read as follow: "description" it makes the mod's functionnalities a bit opaque.

@zingo2 Looked at it now and it seems that the place-workers for the mod never worked as intended. Should be fixed now, no quantum buildings were supposed to be placeable next to eachother.

I think i might know why this happens. I have a designated "Stockpile" Zone and when I place QS. next to each other, they request adjacent items to tuhemselfves. Like so OOO O-Pad.

However If i leave a space OXO X-Space, they stop shifting.

Like form the description it says: "When powered, these stockpiles scan zone spaces adjacent to them and, if the zone's filter allows it, pull any items onto themselves" However the bug is: The Filter pulls any items form adjacent Quantum Stockpile to itself- alas items shift forever.

Kinda easy fix- disable to pull items from each other in OOO scenario. Hope this clarifies.

For now a workaround build pads with space bwtween them.

Report a bug: when I store something on pads- will keep shifting, and my items will be shifted around constantly.

The same bug is true to me. If i build more storage pads the items will start to shift all around.
It feels that each cell is requesting all the items exclusively to it and so items shift.

Can you please look into this. It is not game crashing but it is very annoying! Sound it makes etc.

@Mlie No, the relays pull a single stack of whatever item is designated in their filter from the global network. I mean limiting the quantity that's allowed in that stack, so instead of pulling a full stack of 75 steel, it would only pull the designated amount, say 10.
It makes more of a difference for those (like me) who are playing with increased stack size.
