After my Testing running at max Throttle for more than 2-3 min or 250 KM in game the engine explodes but is still flyable for 10 more min then youre dead

this super 6 thing we be intresting lets see how far i can push modualer engines
amesfarm13 18 Mar, 2022 @ 2:52pm
nice trick using pipes for less drag :)

Thanks for the comments :steamthumbsup:
Feedback is always welcome, especially negative ones.

I like how you put exhaust on wingtips
BasicallyIPlayGames 17 Mar, 2022 @ 1:46pm
@Thales Thank you for the advice.
warppioneer 17 Mar, 2022 @ 11:56am
I used to always use the Fokker Alaskan for most of my flying, I'm using this all the time now.
Thales  [author] 16 Mar, 2022 @ 12:19pm
@Captain Jack Sparrow,
Hard to say without testing.

@BasicallyIPlayGames,
Thanks. Low-drag pipes and control fins are the key to reach higher speed in this example as well as low mass and powerful engine. Jets have much greater thrust and usually can get a lot faster with increased mass. But thrust is first thing which needs to be increased, then weight.
BasicallyIPlayGames 16 Mar, 2022 @ 12:05pm
liked the use of the exhaust, great plane, wish my jets were as fast as that.
Captain Jack Sparrow 16 Mar, 2022 @ 11:45am
i mean, i might put a weight on the back to stop it dipping downward quite so fast, but flies fine with a couple MGs just jammed under the wing
Captain Jack Sparrow 16 Mar, 2022 @ 11:41am
how much centre of mass movement can i get away with?

Hey, i must ask how did you measure the horsepower of your engine? is there a rig you used.
Hank_Hill 15 Mar, 2022 @ 8:04pm
@Thales,

Thanks! I quickly figured that out!

Captain Jack Sparrow 15 Mar, 2022 @ 8:59am
centre of mass? i couldn't even find somewhere to mount guns, let alone balance that mess
Knooob 15 Mar, 2022 @ 8:42am
Legend! There was one file that was corrupted. Now it works! I am looking forward to using your aircraft, it looks super awesome. Thanks for the suggestion to check integrity.
Thales  [author] 15 Mar, 2022 @ 8:24am
@Knooob,
Same. I don't know what is the problem. Maybe verifying your game integrity in Steam helps?
Knooob 15 Mar, 2022 @ 8:18am
My version is v1.4.11
Thales  [author] 15 Mar, 2022 @ 8:15am
Your game version?
Knooob 15 Mar, 2022 @ 8:12am
It says I am missing a lot of the modular parts, am I missing some update or DLC?
Thales  [author] 15 Mar, 2022 @ 8:06am
@Captain Jack Sparrow,
You can add weapons on it but make sure center of mass stays in same place.

I'm currently busy with updating my WW1 warplanes: https://steamhost.cn/steamcommunity_com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2637603439
Captain Jack Sparrow 15 Mar, 2022 @ 7:52am
feel free to shoot me for suggesting this, but can we have a warplane version?
Thales  [author] 15 Mar, 2022 @ 7:10am
@paper pancake boy,
With mouse control or keyboard?
It's better to control with mouse at higher speeds.
PaperPancakeBoy 15 Mar, 2022 @ 6:12am
pretty cool plane, its a bit hard to fly at full speed and the stabilizer glitched out otherwise i give it a solid 9/10
Spectrolosus 14 Mar, 2022 @ 7:41pm
CRAZY.... i struggle for any of my planes to touch 300 knots and you are well over 400....
Thales  [author] 14 Mar, 2022 @ 6:03pm
@Hank_Hill,
Starter button is 6.
There's a bug with hotkey list, developers need to fix it. Because of the bug hotkey numbers show +1 values.
Hank_Hill 14 Mar, 2022 @ 5:59pm
How do I start it. It says the button is unassigned?
phishercat 14 Mar, 2022 @ 5:54am
very nice. thank you for this knowledge.
Thales  [author] 14 Mar, 2022 @ 3:00am
@phishercat,
Yes, it's very low drag because skeleton is made of pipes instead of blocks. Control fins are also low drag components compared to blocky wing components.
NTSFMagellan 13 Mar, 2022 @ 10:33pm
We need a Twin engined version.
phishercat 13 Mar, 2022 @ 7:34pm
how so fucking fast. im gonna assume low drag but that cant be it.
Thales  [author] 13 Mar, 2022 @ 7:43am
Update:
- Fixed microcontroller having less or no drag due to not connected to main body.
- Added pipes to connect all control fins for better flight control.
- As a result drag and mass are increased and top speed is now 770 KPH, down from 845 KPH.
Thales  [author] 13 Mar, 2022 @ 1:14am
How what
