@promos: i remember that mission was like a CQB city was well as a fight in a mine wsnt it? Someone had also added the Ghost Recon radio voice to the units and i remember feeling like it was a whole new game

I remember that BAS"s single mission was really interesting.

@FreeBird0964 The Bundeswehr is generally not worth it. At the time, it was more of a placeholder for an army, a stirrup holder for the actual NATO forces, but not a factor in its own right. It was only intended for delaying action to extend the warning time for the NATO. I served there in '95, and even then our main task as a tank battalion was still to only tie up the attacker for ca. 15 min (in words: fifteen!) in our region: the infamous Fulda gap. After that it was assumed that we would've been destroyed. It would've delayed an attacker for ca. 2 h = additional warning time. Today it's different, but not by a lot, as you may have heard lately, and certainly not in the CW era. (source: my former Comp. Cmdr., Capt A. Henne, today Brig. Gen. and Dep. CDR. Henne of the KdoTerrAufgBw, Berlin)
