The restricted mode is exactly what I've been looking for! Very good! Although I think the "Burdenless" trait would work better as a modifier instead.

Right now there is not, but I could certainly add a new game rule that prevents it.

Is there a means to stop the AI from abdicating entirely?

I can definitely try!
I'll see if I can get them to lose their claims soon, thanks for the suggestion.

Can there be an option for the character who abdicates not to gain claims to the titles they abdicate?

I'm not sure what might be causing that as this mod isn't gender specific. Perhaps you have a mod conflicting with it?

A lot of females abdicate,so i got so many baby-kings.

Hi there!
I'm really happy you're liking the mod and thanks for checking it out. I enjoyed reading the examples you provided of the situations you've encountered as well. They sound really interesting!
As for your question, I believe the hatred opinion modifier will indeed happen anyway. I think it's because of how the game handles the title claimant mechanic. You could think of it as this small part of the abdicator that still wishes they were able to rule that title.

I like this mod. Adds interesting flavor.

Just because you see that someone has seemingly abdicated and is showing the burdenless trait it doesn't mean that he left his post willingly.

In example #1, I had a council member unexpectedly vacate, and my check showed him to now be his son's vassal. Also, his opinion of his own son was awful because his son was a 'title claimant.' Will the hatred points for 'title claimant' happen anyway, even if the person abdicates willingly?

Example #2 was much more clear. I had Robert the Fox of Apulia come to me in a court interaction to tell me that his son had stolen his ducal title/ lands, and even though I wouldn't have been his proper liege, he swore fealty to me that if I took his son to war to get his land back, that he would then become my vassal anyway. Robert is usually a Duke, but he was showing as landless at his son's court, and he also had the burdenless trait, but he very obviously did NOT leave his post voluntarily.

I can certainly give it a try!

do you think you can make a function to abdicate house / dynasty head position too?

Nice!
Yeah I was actually on the fence about that right before publishing. I may go and change it later to add a stress relief modifier. Thanks for the suggestion!

I am gonna try this mod right now ! i'll tell u what I think about it, first idea that comes to my mind : change the +2 prowess by a stress reduction for the Burdenless trait, would make more sense to me in the way you explain it
