Hmm, this would make it easier (less tyranny loss) to take land away from vassals with different faiths (provided they don't convert).

How does this handle the case where they will convert, but only if you let them have a hook on you? Is that still considered refusal to convert if you pick the option where you don't give them a hook on you?
