1.) does this mod affect traits? 'cause I've noticed that sometimes my mods will get random traits, like my ancient greek colony had Hestia, Poseidon, and Hades become Night Owls, even though neither of them started with that. 2.) EEEEEEEEEEE, M3 is coming out soon!!! Is it unfortunately gonna be 1.6+ only, or will it be like these, where we can play on most updates up to 1.1?

The question was about Politics, not Personalities. It's true for the Personalities M3 though - also a lot more to learn.There's no ETA for any project atm.

Yeah, I just took a "quick break" to learn C# myself rather than doing only design and XML. Politics module 1 is ready for about 2 years now. I didn't want to release it without module 2, since some people are disapointed with only M1 features despite the warnings about their function. Anyway, I resumed work some time ago and updated it to 1.5. I still have to learn a lot before dabbling into M2, though.

I just stumbled upon this mod series looking for advanced ways of making unique and diverse government systems and I was wondering whether or not you were still developing 1-2-3 Politics, last comment about it I saw was 3 years ago.

Minor thing: there's a debug message left in PersonalityComparer.Compare(IEnumerable<CompEnneagram>), so every frame while a caravan is highlighted, the comparison for the visibility will add a debug message.

This is a frequently asked question. It's an optional goal for M3, but far on the priority list.

Sexuality is hard to tackle in non-invasive way, and there are few quite good sexuality-related mods out there already.

Has this module series been tested for compatibility with Way Better Romance? It mostly deals with the activities involved in dating and intimacy but might also be altering social checks so was hoping they could jive together.

I love these series of mods as an alternative to Psychology, but the one thing I'm wondering, do any of the modules released so far have a system similar to the sex/romantic drive + kinsey scale like in Psychology or is there a plan to add anything similar? I like the variety it brought versus vanilla sexuality traits along with it not actually taking up a trait slot.

Neither of the modules touch Psychopath frequency.

I could be wrong but i think this mod or M1 is causing the pawn trait, Psychopath, to appear more frequently. When in the pawn selection screen, about 1/4 will have the trait.

I'm not sure why you would want to use Psychology after getting this. This is supposed to be a modern take on Psychology with better compatibility. Just get both modules & VSIE.

To answer: Whether it works or not, you *don't want* psychology active with this.

i consider simple personalities M2 a culprit, because, well, it spams [Simple Personalities M2] 2 0 1 above each ref till i create new colony, then errors cease

don't use psychology mod, it ruins saves. it is compatible with vanilla social interactions expanded and speak up and many other social interaction-related mods, I can't think of any it's incompatible with

I'm a little confused about the trait gaining function and overlap with VSIE's method.

A guide I read said "Personal tip: if you use 1-2-3 Personalities, disable the trait-gain feature in VSIE. That way pawns gain new traits with less RNG in a more sophisticated way."

What difference does that make on gaining traits?

I checked, and I can confirm, it does not work with EDB. I don't think it prevents them, but you can't edit it with EDB

Pre-read note: I wrote this, then saw your comment from augast first about a couple more months of coding school. So, kinda a mute point, still will post this though as it contains encouragement. Might I recommend mentioning it in the description, perhaps in the FAQ

I'm just curious, how goes the third module and/ or "1-2-3 Politics" and/ or whatever else?

I understand code (especially good code) takes a while, and I, for one, prefer high-quility mods, (Quality over quantity, where quality is, well, quality, and quantity is speed). I am just curious generally what we are talking,

Basically, are we talking soon? a while? days? or even "a long time unless I get help" (not at all an offer ;) (I can't do much, but i'm willing to help some if you need).

effectivly, an estimate that's as general and/ or specific as you want.

@Hahkethomemah For a long, long time now the "4th option from the bottom" in the second screenshot is not there anymore. Now is just "Leaders Tweak".

So, to disable this option will just hide the information or it will disable the whole system?

We had cross-functionality for older versions, I'm not sure if it works with 1.5. I'd recommand using our dec mode editor or Character Editor , which is superior to EDB in most metrics aside aesthetics.

Not baseline. And if you get conflicts with other mods, you can disable every feature of this mod separately to avoid that.

That UI element is hardcoded in base game, and they desigend it for a small number of factions - the problem disappears if you stick to lower numbers. As usual with hardcoded stuff, there's no easy solution for this.

I've noticed that when running this mod; the factions panel seems to fill up with bad spacing, having the sentences run into and through each other making it hard to read some things like the name of the faction.

Disparate usually means a mix of negative and positive effects, it's not just bad. But yes, it's intended for you to decide if you want to control it easier with small groups or let it loose with large groups.

Another... problem??? two pawns will only every have either Harmonious or Complimentary personalities... never Disparate. Since you need to have all three personality types involved for that to happen. So... two people working together always get along?? But adding that third person could be a problem.

On what Kinetic Kimo and Bard of Hearts said, I loaded in with the same modlist KK said and spawned a group of labradors and locked them in a room with pawns. The nuzzle interval in their information page was unchanged, but when checking the log labradors with the kind trait had more nuzzle interactions in their memory after 48h. I assume Kind animals are adjusted the same way the mod "Animal Foods Extended's" pet food works

Spawned a bunch of labradors with various personalities, still showed the same 12hr nuzzle interval regardless of whether they were "kind" or something else.

It looks like the "Kind" personality for animals doesn't actually adjust their Nuzzle Interval at all.

I think it would be really cool if you could expand on the psychopath trait like maybe and different various conditions like sociopathy narcissism or BPD I'd like to see a colonists contend with other colonists with those types of personality disorders.
